Can someone put up some picture tutorial of how to actually remove the bulbs so I can either put in new bulbs or perhaps new HIDs. I can't for the life of me figure out how to remove the old bulbs from the DEPO lights!!! So frustrated....

cut off line

Here are a couple pics of the cutoff line against the wall. Against the wall it looks decent but when driving I get the jagged "batman symbol"

Oh wow... Your cutoff looks more drastic than mine. Mine is just one step down. I wonder if the updated ones all have shields like that

Who’s coded out the turn signal bulbs when the low beams are on? Think I read that someone was able to do it. If someone can link me in the direction to get it done I’d appreciate it!

I have. Just go to the Coding\DIY section of the Forums and you'll see a big thread with everything you need, including the cheat sheet with plenty of codes.

The ones Im using dont even come up on Amazon anymore. But there are similar ones available. Try this link: https://www.amazon.com/SOCAL-LED-H7-...eywords=h7+led

In terms of the coding, its been awhile. I believe I had to code out the cold/warm checks for the left and right low beams. I also think I set code that allows the modules to recognize that I had leds installed vs incandescent.

So far I’m loving these lights but I hate how the projector beam isn’t a straight line across like most projectors. Not a fan of the “step” pattern. Anyone successfully make these flush all the way across?

That's the cutoff shield which is legally required. You could go in and modify it, but it's quite the chore to crack these open anyhow. Best thing to do is have them leveled so light from the opposite headlight bleeds into the area and makes it less noticeable.

So I’ve had these lights for about a year and a half. Just started getting a warning light a month or so ago for low beam malfunction. I have the retrofit source hid kit installed and all lights are in perfect working condition. I have removed and reinstalled the bulb, but no change in the warning. It also doesn’t come on when the low beams are on, only during the day. Any thought on what is causing the warning and how to fix it?

the point of the "step" is to not blind opposing traffic by having the driver's side headlight aimed just a little lower than the passenger side
and it's nice to see a crisp "step" in the projector's beams

Washed my car today and noticed that the fitment of my lights aren’t fully flushed and you can see a small gap in between the bumper and the headlights. I know it’s aftermarket so the fit isn’t going to be perfect like OEM so am I just being picky and anal or did the shop do a crap job of installing them?

crappy install
the shop got lazy

i installed these with a friend's help in a driveway
after the initial install, we realized the headlights were way crooked
didn't even cross my mind that it could be so off during install

took off the bumper and realigned
took several tries
but in the end, it looked pretty much perfect

That’s what I figured. Will be bringing it back next week.

My beam pattern is the same. It looks good up close to a wall but at distance it still has the "divots" in the beam pattern. I have H7 Phillips Diamond Vision bulbs installed. It's just my driver side headlight beam pattern that is off. Anyone able to solve this?

Hey I used some self-tapping screws and screwed the ballasts to the aluminum frame rail ends. You will have to drill holes first. Very solid mount+extra cooling for the ballasts

Hi there mate, did you have any success getting your angel eyes to come on with low beams? I've just installed depos and the angel eyes turn off with low beam on.

Hello!

I have a few questions...so I have a 2014 F30 328i with halogens...I am upgrading to the USR DEPO Projector headlights. I am now looking to add HID lights to my car like yourself.

I looked online and noticed 2 different routes...

1. This route posted in this thread:
- Part #: 1 × BL70
- Part #: 2 × B292 (Could you please also tell me if I need the A or B configuration)
- Part #: 1 × A90 (Would I need 1 or 2 of these)

2. This route was found when I entered my vehicle information on the Retro Fit Source:
- Part #: 2 × BL11, 2 × B292, 1 × H210

Could you please tell me which routes in the recommended route and the pros and cons of each route.

Also, since I still have to order the HID parts...but I have my Depos now...would it be smarter to wait and install the Depos when I have the HIDs as well or just do the Depos now and HIDs when they come?

Thank you very much!
Sorry, I'm such a noob

Yes, you should wait until you have the HID kit. If you're planning on doing the install yourself, it'll save you time.
Before you install the headlights make sure the HID bulb position is spot on or you'll run into problems with beam cutoff. Take a look at pdav's post about the beam cutoff. I'm having the same issue but not as drastic.

If you get true 55w and not overpowered 35w, then no, they are not too hot. Been running mine for awhile.
