Installed Depo headlights, Morimoto HID's, fog lights, and clear side reflectors.

Purchased my car as a lease return, it had EVERY other option EXCEPT the lighting package. I had to ditch the horrible halogens, and I really wanted fog lights. Here are the items I purchased for this project.

Clear reflectors

Fog lights

HID parts

LED bulbs for the fog lights
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Pig tails for the fog lights
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I purchased these BMW part numbers from Rock Auto, which was BY FAR the cheapest price. These parts install into the bumper so you can install fog lights.

First thing I did was prepping the headlights for installation by retrofitting the H7 halogen bulb in the projector with the Morimoto HID kit. The pictures are pretty self explanatory. The only thing I did a little different was I removed the screws for the bulb mount and installed some very small washers so they had a little more bite on the H7 euro adapters.

Now for the install. There are plenty of headlight install threads and videos, so I won't go in to major detail on that. Installing the fog lights was very simple. Unbolt the old parts inside the bumper and install the new parts. Nothing magical. I made my own wiring harness for the fog lights with the pigtails, a 40amp relay, power and ground, and a turn on signal from the passenger side low beam signal on the headlight connector. So any time the headlights are actually on, the fog lights kick on. Again, nothing fancy.

With the clear reflectors, they are another easy install. Pop out the old ones, clean all of the old 2 sided tape off COMPLETELY, and install the new ones.

If possible, could you post a picture of where you mounted the ballasts?

I didn't take a picture of that, sorry.

I mounted them directly under the headlights and zip tied them to the frame there. There is a small cavity, which easily fit the ballast and error cancel box.

Sorry, not really an expert on HID's. Check the bulb to make sure it is properly seated in the housing?

To the horn mount. I checked continuity between the horn mount and the battery ground. Works perfect. Had to snip off the ring terminal that was on it and install a larger one though.

What bulb did you use for the high beam? I'm thinking about copying your set-up with the TRS HID kit. Did TRS give any other details as to why they suggested the hylux ballast/canbus/amp over the H7 elite kit?

Update: 100% completely satisfied with these headlights. They are super bright and work perfect. Zero issues. I work at 4am, so I drive in the dark every morning. The 35w ballasts are plenty bright. I wouldn't change a thing.

What ever bulb came with the Depos. I did not touch the high beam bulb.

They said the Hylux unit is more reliable with European cars when it comes to code canceling.

I just got this setup installed, but my beam pattern is horrible. I remember I had a hard time getting the adapters to fit nicely. It looks like you oriented the bulb with the return wire in the upwards direction. Is that right? I caused myself a lot of pain and struggle just getting the bulb to face downwards with the TRS euro adapters. I'm wondering if I just orient the bulb with return wire up that fitment will be better, resulting in a better beam pattern... curious what you may have done differently.

What you see in the pictures is all I can share. IF there is an "up" or "down" of the bulb, it wasn't noted to me. I installed the adapters in the best way I could. If that placed the bulb upside down, then it did. If I have a "bad beam pattern" I don't notice it. I am very satisfied with my set up.
