Did you gloss over FA Cup semi finalists in 1997, only beaten after a replay by the multi national millionaires of Middlesbro? And because David Elleray was a complete and utter kn*b

Yeah, I think Leeds and Brentford are my two preferred teams in the Premier League... Leeds was the team my Dad loosely supported (as he is from Leeds) and we used to go when I was little (I still have my ticket stub and programme from the '75 European Cup semi final home leg to Barcelona.. Cruyff and Neeskins)... Brentford just because they have been a great part of the Championship these last years and I really like their manager...

And to think that you wouldn't even have a club if we hadn't allowed your supporters and their collection bins at our stadium on match days and provided many loan players to help boost your squad.

Funny how the moment you got in the same league as us, you then made up some kind of rivalry…… we've never understood it

Yep I agree the dark days of Sarri need to be forgotten but I suppose it could be worse by being an Arsenal supporter. Seeing their current position and malaise gives me so much joy.

Word for word . . . exactly the same here, as long as LFC win of course.

Liverpool v Man Utd is one of the worst rivalries in terms of when they play each other. Sky etc always hype the game up beyond belief and more often than not it's a drab to watch draw.

Amen to that, VVD back is a huge bonus this season, so much confidence and quality lost last season, United look sharp though!

Bring it on!

Are they battling for that last Champions League place. City will be out of sight by Xmas. I reckon Tuchel will have Chelsea well drilled so they will be dull but grind out wins. Leicester will be there or thereabouts. Probably battling Liverpool and United for 3rd, 4th and 5th....

The only thing guaranteed is the rich will be getting richer whilst grass roots football struggles to survive.

So I'll be at my national league team, sticking the cash in to keep them afloat. £500 for a hospitality table in September.....and its not even tax deductible!

I do. Never look at a table until 10 games have passed. A couple of seasons back we were top with 9 points from 9 after 3 games - and third bottom after 10!

As soon as Grealish and Kane are firing they will walk it

Congrats to Brentford on the first result, and a little more begrudgingly on beating us in the playoff final! 😢

That said if citeh don't get Kane it will be closer than suggested by some on here. ...now the scouse have VVD back to enforce that defensive block different story this season but citeh have more strength in depth....

Chelsea - no chance. Man united just don't have the quality- so yep blue moon probably as they have the clout to hoover up anyone no matter the cost and to be honest it just takes the shine off things, so we hope for Leicester / Leeds et al and that isn't going to happen.

I'm torn between a battle between 2 great rivals and the top of the league and my natural desire to see Liverpool fail! If I was a neutral it would be great, shall we leave it there?
