I could swear that this exhaust sounds better on the previous generation, even though the engines are the same. Am I hearing things?

don't like the sound that much. sounds like it's coming out from cheaper cars.

I was rather impressed w/ the stock exhaust...had a great tone, and wasn't cheap sounding (the rasp I commented on earlier is cheap sounding)...it's what some of you like, but you also owned Honduh's in the past...sorry that was mean...but likely true. and db was very good for my ears.

Anyway, Maybe it sounds better when under load (driving)...maybe it doesn't, in a few weeks I'm sure someone will have a video to show. I'll stay stock, it's loud enough for a luxury family sedan.

To me, the stock clip sounds better. Probably best to hear them live.

I think it's the sound of the chambers opening and closing... :

I agree, it seems like the camera in the first clip isn't capable of capturing the lower frequencies which makes the exhaust sound hollow and Infinity-like. I'm sure it sounds incredible in person, though.

I know that most videos I've seen make the N55 sound hollow and almost like a diesel straight six, but in person it has a very deep, growly tone which I completely love. Also, it sounds much deeper under load. Revving it at idle sounds much more hollow, as is expected with any motor.

I don't know... it just doesn't sound right. And it happens randomly. AND, it didn't start happening on my car until a week ago. It's really unpleasant...

honestly, it sound awful for $12xx.

Maybe you should let car warm up completely & re-film it. There's a difference of a cold start & rev, and warm start & rev.

I hope it's just the recording device. But it sounds pretty thin and metallic.

Like a lot of people mentioned, needs to be recorded with a better device. As of right now, stock is way better imo.

Spot on about the burble/popping on the rev down - love letting off the gas just for that sound...

Agreed, love the low tone burble sound in low rev. Not loud but deep.

Save up and get a 'real' exhaust, a Akrapovic. If u going to put an exhaust on a luxury car you should go all the way, don't half @SS it. .02
