Auto Brake Function

I recently purchased a 17' 330i xgt and the warning light comes on with the active a cruse but there's no braking. Also had someone step off a curb and step back on but it prompted warning that the pedestrian brake function wasn't working, to take it to the dealer. After doing so, the dealer said they fixed it but the braking for the active cruse is still not working.
Anybody else having similar problems?

I've seen some cars that you can adjust the active braking with cruse. Is it set for a long distance apart before it brakes?
