Amazon Music and BMW Connected

Hi, Anyone seeing issues with the Amazon Music working through BMWConnected/idrive?

All of my other apps - M Timer, Calendar etc are working properly, but the Amazon app launched, displays the BMW interface on my iPhone then disconnects with an error message on the idrive screen. Any thoughts on a fix?

Got exactly the same problem. Amazon Music app does not connect after its latest update. Hope anyone will know how to fix i.

Mine has always been a bit iffy but stopped working through the App altogether a few days ago.

I can still stream as a bluetooth device from my iPhone but it only allows Next and Previous track, not playlists like the App does.

Hope that Amazon fix it soon.

I have the same problem too, streaming is ok but will not display the playlists as Phil said above.

Same problem - soon after the Apple upgrade. Very frustrating - you would think they (Apple) would test such popular apps before issuing the upgrade (iOS 12 something...) !! Well, I suppose that for Apple - they only care about Apple Music! Amazon has to fix this with Apple.

Yes same for me. Still not working after bmw software update, and deletion and reinstall of apps. Funnily enough the amazon “audible” app works perfectly. There is also a similar thread on the amazon forum on this topic - https://www.amazonforum.com/forums/d...pp-not-working with the amazon technical folk seemingly having knowledge of the issue

I had the same problem.
The app "AmazonMusic" ver. 8.7. 0 did not fix the problem.
So I downgraded the app and solved the problem.
The version is 8.5. 0.

The IPA file is 120 MB, so I couldn't attach it.
If you give me a message, I can let you know the link.

To install the IPA files:
Windows users should use iTunes ver. 12.6. 5.
Mac users should use Appleconfigurator 2.

I apologize for my poor English.

For what it's worth, you can use most all music apps outside the BMW Connected App, but you'll need to control on your smartphone.

I was using Qobuz and SiriusXM yesterday via Bluetooth - worked perfectly.

Kudos to @yo4 for coming up with a workaround while Amazon played with their code

Hi,

I've just moved to a wireless charging set up with an iPhone XR so no longer plugging phone into the car.

Amazon Music only seems available as an external source (with next track/prev track only) rather than appearing as a blue Amazon option when selected Media like it used to when plugging in.

Can this be sorted over bluetooth without physically plugging the phone in?
