Do I need to code the TRSVC Module (Reverse camera)

My Reverse camera module wasn't working properly, It made other module crashes and stopped communicating (CON IHKA) and the reverse camera wasn't always working.

I bought one on Ebay, same part number (Hardware and software) but my previous one had been updated by BMW dealer to 2014 software (instead of 2013).

Long story short, I installed the one from Ebay (Came from a 5 series) and it's not communicating (Red in ISTA).

Do I need to code it?

Do you have E-Sys?
Then you only have to mark the TRSVC, assign a new CAFD and after that code the TRSVC.

Ok so I followed the step by step for esys. I'm connected and I was able to read the ECU's. I have 19 ecu but the trsvc doesn't show in there.

But you wrote that you can see it in ISTA in red.
So it can't be dead.

In E-Sys did you try both buttons Read SVT and Read Ecu?

Can you again check the error memory with ISTA?
We have to know the error message.

That's normal because the CAFD was not yet assigned.

To assign a CAFD mark the ecu TRSVC and on the right side "detect caf for swe".

Ok so I think I made a big mistake lol.

I clicked code when CAFD was highlighted (in the trsvc module) and a screen popped up with a bunch of text in German . At the end it was written something like "cant find cafd file).

Now the trsvc module won't appear even when I click "read SVT".

No, that was no mistake.
That's the right way to assign a new CAFD.

Did you see this window?

No because I clicked "code" before clicking on "detect caf"

I just realised that TRSVC was supposed to be highlighted, but when I clicked "code" CAFD was highlighted instead.

Now the trsvc doesn't appear at all even when I click read SVT.

Like if it was erased from the list. I'll take a picture

Ah OK, i understand.
But i think that's no problem.

Maybe you can try again to connect the car or you shut off the ignition and turn it on again.

I tried letting the car go in sleep mode and also rebooting the computer. Its still doesn't show up in the SVT.

It's like if I deleted the trsvc module from the SVT

OK, try the following.

Mark the ecu "SM" in your SVT list and then hit the button "Code".
After that try again to Read SVT or Read Ecu.
