Just checked and the fuse is fine. It's strange that it disappeared from ista and everywhere like if I deleted the module

When you read the VO in the upper left window and you click trough the elements up to Salapa-Element is there the "3AG" like in my picture?

When you press Read(ECU) button, you should see TRSVC Ecu. If isn't, you have problem with ECU, power, or CAN-Bus

Update, my friend with the exact same car as me came in, we swapped out both module . He's module is working on my car perfectly (except it give an error on the cluster) but the camera work.

On his car with my module it doesn't work..


Conclusion : the module I received from eBay is not good.

Update : received the new replacement module.

It's working now and is recognized in the ECU's list.

It's also working when I put the car in reverse but the image is upside down.

I also have some fault in ista : trsvc no current coding , control unit is not coded, K-cAn line fault.

Can someone help me code it via esys. I don't want to make any mistake lol

Sorry for off topic but:
Is there any way to code TRSVC module to use it only for rear camera without any errors. It all works but it is annoying when I see all the errors in ista for side camera, top camera etc.

Up, my new (used module from eBay) broke again ., Is that possible ? Lasted 8 months. Same behavior , black screen, random issue with the car when the module is connected (cooling fan full speed intermittent , super slow almost not responsible iDrive, airbag faut pops up). When I read the modules with ista, 3-4 of them are red and not responding. As soon as I disconnect the reverse camera module everything is back to normal.

Myb you are bad luck, If the module was working fine for 8 months and all of the sudden starts acting weird, to me it's faulty module.

5 months ago I have retrofitted backup camera (also with help of atzebmw) with 360 camera module and it's working like a dream.
Tho, I got my retrofit kit locally, not from eBay.

Most of this stuff sold on eBay is coming from stolen cars, and who knows how many times it's been dropped and damaged inside and it works for short time and it dies.

ok it stopped working literally 5 minutes after it worked. It's not detected anymore by Ista and esys.

So I tried to put back my original module, it worked right away.. I also tried the second module I bought 8 months ago and it worked also.

I installed the original one back, and everything is working perfectly now?

I think there's something wrong with the wiring harness maybe?

It's working but I have a K-Can fault in ista with the TRSVC module.

My rear camera is acting weird. Sometime it works. Sometime it doesn’t work. When it doesn’t work, it would get black screen with camera fail on it. Sometime on the 6wb, it said rear camera failure, but the camera works.

What would be the issue? The camera, the module, or the cable connecting camera and module?

Also if i buy a new unit of module or camera and swap it, do i need to code it? Same unit same part number.

I have rear, side, and surround cameras and mine weren't working intermittently (on an LCI). I tried everything, chasing errors, diagnostics, VO coding all related modules, and nothing worked. Trying to display test images resulted in ERROR ECU CONDITIONS NOT CORRECT.

I was on an i-Level from early 2019 and saw other people fixed similar problems back then by going to the dealer for a software update. I updated to the most recent i-Level using ISTA+ and it seems to have fixed my problem.

There's some THSA bulletins about BMW cameras not working and software updates being the fix.

What do you mean by software update? I have hidden features, and also bm3 stage 2. If i update at dealer, would it update everything and my hidden features gone along with bm3 and xhp?

Look into getting a recent version of ISTA and use that to diagnose your car. In there it will also tell you the i-Level of your car. The first half of 2019 is when I was seeing people post about camera problems.
