What you are showing is probably just about the audio during the phone call that goes through Oem bt. I noticed that you have aux, so it's rather the sound that comes from it. When you select media source, the phone won't play the sound, it will start working when you select aux source. If I'm wrong, please correct me and if possible, make a video of what it looks like for you

After 10-20 seconds with the back button still pressed, the unit rebooted and all was fine. I am very glad that the issue is solved. For a few days I was convinced it was completely broken but it wasn't the case.

Exit Android Auto or Apple Carplay. Go to System (push) and follow the steps. Enter the 4 digit code and update new icon from USB memory stick. Maybe your software is slightly different.

I added a front facing camera on my M235i. There are many types and options. I chose the "Natika" license-plate mount one from Amazon. I will say it was challenging getting the cable through the firewall, since the "free" holes in the car's firewall seal are too small for an RCA connector, and the captive cable on the camera is too short to go through the firewall.

As far as mounting, there are lots of options. if you really want a "general" front view, there are some that snap into the front grill or mount in the lower grill. My goal was to see what my car's lower lip might be hitting, so I chose license plate mount and pointed it almost straight down - which limits it's usefulness to JUST parking.

So overall it works but for me is of limited value (I don't parallel park much), but works perfectly and has a very good/clear picture. hold down the MMI "Option" key to display it at any time.

I buy two from Aliexpress from the GreenYi one for the front and one for the back. The front cam is very sturdy has full metal cover with glass lens this one use wide degree 150% near fish eye angle and has Nigjhtvision. Very sensitive in low light conditions. So you can see all things in front of the car. Disavantage is the cars, people ect are are a bit 'bolling' as you know want I mean.
But for me it's ok I want to see everything in front.
I mounted very low as you can see because I don't want put it in the airtake or the screw mount opening for the drag eye on the left hand side.
This cam has a long M5 screw and fits on the plastic air leader. Front cam can switches to on all the time you like. But normal use is auto switching while driving forward and driving afterward the two cams switching auto depending on de rev or forward position of the gear (auto) stick

Seems like a good camera - perhaps I can hide it inside the grille as I prefer it to be less noticeable.
Underneath the front splitter would be too low and ideally I would like to see the tip of the splitter as that is what I'm trying to protect (pointing down a bit, but not all the way down as in previous post).

Successful updated mine to version 1.6.5. Noticed extra options (perhaps they were there before) ability to turn of the steering wheel button and hide the YouTube app from the landing menu and "back menu change" which when is enabled, it disables the iDrive "Menu" button to switch between MMI and iDrive. Switching then works with "Back" button on my F15.

Worked for me perfectly! On NBT02

The NBT version is needed for your 2016 model. Front and rear cam is no problem the MMI unit has 2 video input wires for connection both. Sound can be difficult, I know from experience MP3 sound is much better on stereo front and rear speakers when using music on a USB stick connected to the USB cable to the MMI box. The box has it's own music/video player. I've read here some users have good sound. My audio wireless streaming from phone is not poor but directly from USB is much better.

If you can make a sturdy bracket for the cam it would be nice. The wide angle lens must be far outside otherwise you get not a full picture on the screen. I did not want to dismantle much of the car so for me this was the easy way to do underneath close to ground. Nobody noticed the cam so low for a year now, so no thieves :-)
