Lotus Evija 2000hp Hypercar Revealed

What do we all think?

I’m certainly very excited about Lotus being given such a massive financial boost and hopefully becoming a major player in the world sports/super car market, as Lotus are based in Norwich.

Not watched it.

When we say releases, is this thing a working prototype? I'm a bit sceptics, I've seen past 'reveals' from Lotus for a 7 model line up and umm that didn't happen.

Again I've not watched, delighted if so, it would be fantastic to see them back.

PS good on the BBC and Top Gear for being in on the Lotus love. No chance Sunday and then today was a coincidence.

I hope they're not testing it in Norfolk as they'll be majorly disappointed your X3 is quicker

It does look good though.

I think it’s definitely happening this time, just look at what Geely have done for Volvo!

I haven’t seen one yet, but I’m keeping my eyes peeled, and will give it a pasting when I do!

Teaston:
Honk Honk as the M40D cruises past.

Lotus Test Driver:

Looks great from the front and side, not sure about those holes in the rear though.

Can’t begin to imagine how quick this will be. The quickest car I’ve ever been in was 0-100 in 5.5secs - if you hit the accelerator in this at 60mph it will essentially be doing 186 in the same time. Mental.

Still think if given the choice (in the hypothetical world I wish I lived in) I’d go for a Valkyrie, albeit recognising that the two cars are intended to meet different briefs.
