Not too keen on the new presenters. I mean I like both of them as individuals but I get the feeling they're more interested in entertainment and comedy than cars. From what I've seen of the trailers are cars even going to get mentioned at all?

The BBC's own pre-series write-up included "childish" "Fred was biting my bum" and in the Ethopian adventure apparently one of them had to wear a heavy jumper.

Maybe it's me but it sounds tired before it's even started.

I really don't get the line-up. A comedian, an ex-cricketer and (the only saving grace) Chris Harris. I'd like it to be good, but I have my doubts.

I'll tell you who would be good - Mat Watson from Carwow. His YouTube videos are excellent. Check his G20 one by the way, covers a few different versions including the M340i.

I think you're going to see a lot of him in the next few years and it wouldn't surprise if he is a future Top Gear presenter.

The trailers look really funny, I like them all individually so this looks like it'll be fun.

He might have to drop the 1L bottle test though.

Really, I think their reviews are very user friendly.

I'll be taping it then I can skip the endless crap and get to bits with cars in.

They're trying too hard to be Clarkson, May and Hammond and they don't have the natural chemistry those three have.
When Top Gear try to do cocking about it looks forced and scripted, when they do it on Grand Tour it looks far more natural, more like mates pissing about than three random blokes following a piss poor script.
Chris Harris is good, the other two.....meh. They're ok on their own, lets see how they gel.
Top Gear is on life support, I honestly think two more seasons at best then it'll go....

This is exactly the reason they don’t do proper car reviews on TG anymore, if you want to see one there’ll be multiple reviews on YT to watch. Like video killed the radio star, YT killed the TV car review show!

A Sunday night family TV audience doesn't want to know whether they should pick an e46 330i over a 325i

I love Harry's garage, watching him bumble along about this and that giving us a car geek insight into old cars etc...but I'm self aware so don't expect it to be shown on prime time TV.

There was more chemistry in the first 20 seconds than the last 3 series

Agreed. I think it’s been brilliant, far more natural banter with these three than the original trio too I feel....it doesn’t feel scripted at all, and from what I’ve read it wasn’t.

Yes, if they stay like that it's actually gone from borderline dreadful to pretty damn good.

7/10. It was funny in parts but the whole Flintoff/Mcguiness taking the piss out of Harris thing is a bit too much for me. Not sure what Flintoff adds really, he does nothing at all but clown about.

Just watched it, perfectly good entertainment and not bad for a first show.
I'll give them a few weeks to see how they settle in before making judgement.

I quite enjoyed it. Not quite the chemistry of clarkson, may and hammond but very much less awkward that the attempts since

I really like chris harris
