Although an inconvenience, I feel like it's a rite of passage. Entering the freeway under throttle and it happened. It didn't surge like I thought or even through a CEL in the next half mile before I could exit and pull in somewhere.

Does the board here have a favorite aftermarket replacement and source? Do I need to go fishing around for any pieces? I clearly see the clip still attached to the TB.

Thanks, all.

Do a search for Chargepipe. Number of threads and DIYs. Whole range of aftermarket available- ER, FTP, BMS, VRSF are just a few. ER seems to be considered the best ($$). I recently installed a BMS chargepipe without issues and works great. Most come complete with all needed parts. Although it is a good time to replace any of the o-rings that are typically reused.

I installed Treadstone's on mine. Their instructions suck, but the quality is excellent. I also like that the pipes are anodized matte black, as opposed to gloss or polished. It gives them a very OEM look. To the untrained eye they can easily pass for hoses. If you live somewhere where they do visual "smog check" inspections, the OEM look of these will be less likely to raise red flags.

I ended up going with BMS. It came down to costs, although the Treadstone stuff is slick.

Thanks guys.

If you tune your car, it's always recommended to get an aluminum charge pipe. How long were you running MHD before the CP blew? How many miles are on your car currently?

Been running the tune for about 8K miles. The car currently has 73K on it. I admit, I was waiting for it happen.

First thing I changed on my cars are the charge pipes. I bought ER and fit is perfect.
