Need advice on Valuation.
A friend of mine has a 2013 328 Msport. I think the only option it does NOT have is the blue Msport brakes (which at the time were not part of the Dynamic handling Package) I think the Original MSRP was 58k.
Dynamic Handling (adjustable shocks and variable steering) Tech with Head up display Navi Premium Msport 6 speed manual Estoril Blue over Black Leather. Former CPO car. Now with 45k miles. Never any paint work or incidents. 2 owner but first owner was just 8 months. Clutch was replaced by BMW shortly after my friend picked it up. Appreciate the experienced opinions on the board. Thanks. |

I did not realize that these had dropped that much. It's such a nice car.
Thanks to everyone for the advice and info. I did look at KBB and NADA and told him both sites are not in love with the car. I think he was hoping that it might bring 19k privately. Thanks Again. |

If it's clean, it might be able to pull in $19k in private sale.
How could a 328i with those options have MSRP'ed for $58k? A similarly optioned 335i would have gone for that much. I think he's not remembering the MSRP correctly. |

I looked at this car when new, and they had it placed next to a 335 with a lower MSRP. This car was over built and sat. You're right in wondering how a 328 could out price a 335.

Does it have some stupid options like a bunch of carbon fiber parts or something? It might just be a bunch of dealer add-ons that no one actually wants. The options list is fairly extensive but it's not out of line with other cars I've seen. I'm saying a 335i with the same options would cost about $58k.

I got $16k for 2014 328ix sportline from the dealer, just couple days before the start of 2019, fully loaded, also had cold weather package. Only 34k miles though, with no issues ever. Also, it was still under CPO warranty. KBB was evaluating it at 13.5k.

I think anything with an n20 / n26 will be hard to sell to anyone who has scratched the surface of looking into the F30 generation -- unless maybe a car was built after the fix, or has had the fix done. But even then, I'd think most people will start steering clear of them.

My 340i was 57k MSRP, granted I did not get a few features. But still had Msport/leather/tech/drivers assistance/adaptive suspension.
