My new 2016 BMW 340i Xdrive

After owning a 15 BMW 328i Xdrive and then learning all about the 340i Xdrive I was determined to find the perfect car. Luckily I work at a car dealership and the perfect one just so happen to show up 1 year after purchasing the 328i, and i couldn't help but trade it in and snatch up this dream car.
Ive always owned black and silver cars but a white 2016 340i Xdrive came in with every single option i wanted and it only had 13200 miles. It of course came equipped with the M-performance sport package so that included M-Style front and rear bumpers, sill plates,M styled wheels, sport steering wheel with paddle shifters, side and rear view camera with birds eye view, land departure warning, heads up display, front collision alert system, blind spot warning, rain sensing wipers, heated steering wheel, heated back seats, satellite radio WITH ALBUM ART WORK!!!!. I also purchased the Enhanced USB & Bluetooth update from Bimmertech.com. Which now allows me to read my text messages on my iDrive Screen and reply with siri through bluetooth.
My previous 328 had the matte black front M-Style grill so i swapped that right away. Ive had the mirror caps painted high gloss piano black. Tinted All rear windows 5% and just the front two at 20%. Installed a carbon fiber M-Sport style front lower lip. Gloss black front fender lenses really make a big difference on a white car so i had to get those right away. The ugly orange stock ones just wouldn't work so the gloss black lenses was my first purchase. Then added the Carbon fiber antenna cover.

Waiting arrival and Ordered items: Rear bumper lower exhaust diffuser, carbon fiber rear trunk lip, carbon fiber gear box cover, center console wireless charging tray, Carbon fiber M-Performance lower side skirt decals, BMW radio dial decal.

Items still needed to order: Possible Black leather or suede center arm rest lid cover. Carbon fiber exterior door handle covers. Black vinyl wrap the roof with high gloss black or carbon fiber vinyl. 6WB Digital cluster from Bimmertech.com
......... and i think thats it....... for now lol

Congrats dude. I've had my F30 328xi for 2.5 years and starting to want more. I'm curious your thoughts on the jump from one to the other.

I'm test driving a 2015 F80 tomorrow as it's my dream car but can get a 2016 340xi for $15k less...decisions.

I have noticed an incredible difference! I loved my 328 but hated the loud Diesel engine sound from the direct injection. It was great on gas but that's not really important to me because I drive so many different cars home for work purposes. Once I had researched all about the 340 and it's upgrades I was sold. Even more so after I drove it! The shifting points on more on par for BMW and than the 328. It's so smooth and quick to respond. I don't use the paddle shifters to often but wow they are impressive. I also have done several upgraded coding options to keep the exhaust flap open and increase that beautiful rumble sound. The heads up display was a much needed option for me when trying to decide if I wanted to upgrade to the 340. My previous Mercedes Benz C300 4matic had the large digital Speedometer and I missed it so much when switching to BMW. I did do the coding for the digital speedometer in my 328 but it still was so small and not as nearly as nice as the Mercedes. The heads up display on my 340 was another reason I had to buy this car. I LoVe the 6WB digital cluster from Bimmertech.com but that's going to be ordered for my 340 soon .

mike082802 - Looks like you're from NY. Not sure if Sportsline is an option over MSport, but there's a blue 6MT with 36K miles for $27K on cars.com in Lindenhust, NY. https://www.cars.com/vehicledetail/d...2986/overview/

Congrats! Fair warning: You won't be able to go back to a 4 cylinder engine (or many others) after experiencing that I6. It'll spoil you.

If you still want the f80 after the test drive, and you get a deal that makes sense and that doesn't stretch you financially, go with your heart. You'll have regrets otherwise.

Rochester looks nice from June to September. Growing up in the area was not fun. Car looks great. The carbon sets off the front facia very nicely. Congratulations
