F30 19" wheel offset

Dear all,

Anyone can give me a hand.

I am still struggling I can use my old rims or not. I go thru the forum and found that the new wheel offset for 19" is

Front 8X19 offset 36
Rear 8.5X19 offset 47

My old rims are on my current E90 which is
Front 8.5X19 offset 32
Rear 9.5X19 offset 25

I am not sure is it fit or not. will the rear extend too much and rub? As I really want to keep my old rims.

I've heard the attatchment bolts are thicker then the bolts on the E90. Thats why the E90 rims wouldnt fit the F30.

Correct
F30 bolts are M14, like most new BMW models
E90 are M12

What does the bolt size have to do with the rims fitting?

The holes in the wheels are too small to fit the new bolts.

The front should be able to fit no problem, but the rear is too aggressive unless you are running a smaller tire and more negative camber.

Never seen a rim spec that shows the measurements if the bolt holes.

Dear All,

Thanks for all your information.

Yes, my concern is also the real as it maybe too aggressive.

Actually, my old rims were BBS LM-R, I'm not sure if the hole can fit for both M12 and M14? These information can hardly get from the internet.

As if I use the wheel calculator to compare with the BMW standard wheel, the result as follow.

10mm LESS clearance on the strut side, and the outside edge of the wheel will EXTEND an extra 28mm (Compare to style 397)

9mm MORE clearance on the strut side, and the outside edge of the wheel will EXTEND an extra 35mm (Compare to style 401)

hi not sure about F30 offset but i can tell you that

front are fine no problem

rear better use 20mm spacer and your good too go
you will have an offset of 45 pretty close to 47 so is a gogo

best luck

bolts always the same in diameter can be bigger in lenght but dont know
using the 20mm spacer should have bigger bolts in lenght

Hi there,

I think adding spacer is not a good idea, as the outer is already extend for 28MM. Adding spacer means extend more.

hi again

original bmw E90/E91 is 34 ront and 37 rear

so you can put the F30 whells

original f30 is 36 front and 47 rear

front is a go go no problems

rear you have to see if the tire hits the suspension if it touch you have to add a 10mm spacer on rears

know i get it
you want old rims on new

yes you can no spacer needed just see if you have under fender space

Package will stick out 22 mm (0.9'') farther. Make sure that you have enough room under the fender. If not, consider narrower tires or higher offset.

best regards

check if your old wheels have some room behind the paddding to be shaved down. if so, do it and should have min of 10mm to shave down which will increase your offsetts. don't gauge of oem as most goes way off from those numbers. I have mounted 9.5x19 et20 with 295/30/19 PS2 tires without rubbing. Also, camber -2 rears will give you additional room. Otherwise, go see Jay and have them open up your fenders and fit any wheels you want.

I don't want to hijack this thread, but it is on topic. I am in a unique position to get a set of:

BMW Staggered Vertini Luxury Wheels Matte Black Rims

Specifications;
Two Front - 20" x 8.5"
Two Rear - 20" x 10"
5 X 120mm Bolt Pattern

I should be able to get a great deal on them, but I need to know if they will fit. This whole larger lug bolt is getting me worried. I will NOT be able to take them back to the private seller. Any help would be appreciated! Thanks.

20 X 8.5 - 130/5H
20 X 10 - 120/5H

That is all I could find on the website.

Assuming 130/5H and 120/5H refers to the bolt pattern, those are not the correct front wheels. BMW uses 5x120, which I believe is the same as those rears (120/5H). Otherwise, that's still not enough information to say whether the wheels will fit or not. You must have offset (or ET) information as well.

They are all 5 X 120 After speakin with the seller. Below are the measurements for the offset. The measurements are from the mounting surface to the back of the rim.

Front -8.5"- 6.125" (15.6cm)
Rear -10"-6.875" (17.5cm)

There are two 20mm aluminum spacers for the rear included if I require them.
