N47 engines failing rate statistics

In my country there is a trend in replacing the timing chain on any N47 engine, no matter is early 2007 or late 2013.

Wikipedia states: The most seriously affected units which require the most extensive repairs were produced from 01.03.2007 to 05.01.2009.

My common sense would say that probably delivered better N47 engines in the F30; meaning that N47 engines with 184hp delivered after 2012 should not be that error prone as those used in the E90 10 years ago.

Do we have any official statistics or any reliable source regarding the timing chain reliability of an N47 inside an F30 ?

I don't think i have seen one USA N47 timing chain failure. Then again, we didn't have the ridiculous oil change interval either.

Seems transfer cases are the cool thing to have fail.

There is an ista test for chain stretch. Even the US OCI is a little long in my opinion, I also believe the ASS function is a chain stress.

I will look for that test, just for curiosity.
I despise the auto start stop... I disabled it from the ecu flash, mostly for the annoyance.

We need some Blackstone reports on the oil at 10,000 mile intervals. I wouldn't mind cutting it down to 8000 miles.

I sent a sample of oil to Blackstone with 8000mi on it (including two track days). They said the material in the oil was within expected ranges and the oil still had some life left. 10k is probably fine for daily driving.
