Tips for getting a small crease out of plastic bumper cover

I have a small crease in the plastic bumper cover where my F31 was backed against a post. There is some very minor cracking of the paint but it's not bad and not worth spending hundreds of £££s at a body shop. Has anyone had success with the 'hot air gun' method on their 3 series? Any tips for me? TIA
