Your dealer usually does detailing. They normally charge around $175, however they do run specials from time to time that you could probably get anytime if you have a good working relationship with a service writer or service manager. I have always fond them to negotiate prices on these extra services. I have even had dealerships match Tire Rack prices just by asking.

You might be better off coming to LI for what you're looking to get.

Dealership detail is a cruel joke. They swirl up and mess up your car, I have not yet seen one dealership detail department that doesn't suck.

I wouldn't let a dealer even wash my car, let alone detail it. You would asking for trouble.

Thanks guys, I normally detail my car myself.... Its just a pain in the ass because I live in an apartment building in manhattan, so no driveway or hose for me.... I have been using the chemical guys "waterless" car wash, which is great... But I like hosing down the car and really cleaning it etc...

Well there is place called "the wash" located next to oneighty nyc customizers in brooklyn 2390 McDonald Avenue, Brooklyn, NY 11223. The hand car wash place is not affiliated with oneighty but the last time i was there i saw lots of m5s and m6s rolling out of there and the prices looked very decent also. Cant say how the quality is as i have never brought my car there but just letting you know.

This is the first that comes to mind. It's in Franklin Square. Maybe about a 35-40 minute drive with typical traffic. I've never honestly gone there but they have been there forever, and are supposed to be good. I grew up in that area and plenty of guys used to go there. They straight up just park your car and do everything by hand. No typical car wash tracks or anything like that. I would def go there if/when I need a winter wash that I can't take care of, or some deeper cleaning.

Sonic seems to have some decent reviews but I would just Google hand car washes on long island and check reviews. There are some nice places scattered around.

Their website gives me a headache tho. They probably swirl your paint too tbh. Bentley people don't care about paint.

To be honest, I don't think you'll find any type of carwash that will wash your car properly. Meaning they won't use the 2 bucket method, grit guards, air dry and/or quality drying towel, etc.

Agree with you 100% I believe the best detail is always done by the owner of the car. I have a ton of products from chemical guys and adams polish. It's just a PIA for me to detail my car being that I live in a Manhattan apt building and this cold weather isnt helping. In the summer I always go to a do it youre self wash plce, too cold for that now.

If I were you, I would just bring the car to a do it yourself carwash place (the one where you use the wand) and use your own cleaner for the wheels and just spray the surface crap off your car. Maybe you can make up a mixture of ONR and water in a spray bottle or P21s to use on the body to loosen any dirt. Good luck
