Re-installed the M Performance Carbon Fiber Rear Spoiler.

The previous one was raising causing a gap between the contact. So had to get it replaced.

Definitely needs a drop, going to install the B14 PSS after the Steering wheel. 4 Finger gap with the low profile tyres.

Hopefully, I can get it installed soon. Eager to get my hands on a much sportier steering wheel. It certainly feels a lot thicker & is easier to grasp. The alcantara might take some getting used to though.

I've seen a CF Paddle Shifter for the F30 on a site. Theoretically they can be replaced without upgrading the steering wheel. Should be a plug and play.
The new steering wheel feels great and looks sporty.

Yep, definitely considered getting Harman Kardon from Elebest, I checked on a few other sites as well: Pasco-HK & Getbmwparts. During my service a few days ago, I attempted to obtain a quote from a Service Advisor @ Trivet Classic BMW who said it was not possible to install it after factory.

I'll probably get it after a few more mods & have it installed by audio installer as I feel it looks quite complex.

Most likely, BMW would never do an after factory install to avoid warranty claims. Probably sometime in the future, I'll source the kit from Elebest and get a local audio shop to install it.

Parked next to a 435i & M6 and noticed a Gold Rolls Royce Phantom parked in staff parking.

It's a little more than complex it's a whole different wiring loom I believe. Your best option is the bav sound upgrade and waiting for the ghost sub when they release it

Hi Knightsabers,

Steering wheel is on my wishlist too!! too bad they are so damn expensive!!

Does the steering wheel come with airbag? Or would you need to pull the old airbag out of the old steering wheel and fit it into the new one?

Is installation a costly exercise?

Thanks!

I agree, $1000 for a steering wheel is quite expensive but it visually it looks and feels great. There's also a Electronic version with shifter lights for $2000.

The steering wheel doesn't come with an airbag, the old one is compatible with new steering wheel. There are two variants of the M Performance steering wheel, one for round airbags and the other for square airbags.

The installation was roughly $90.

Bav Sound upgrade looks quite enticing for a plug and play install. Most likely it requires a new wiring loom is required for HK audio, also configs to the NBT unit as well.

I checked ou that Robson Designs site....crazy prices WITH 1 for 1 exchange? I guess I would have to garage my car for a while whilst I waited for the new steering wheel. Getbmwparts.com have some good steering wheels for less $$$. Alcantara to boot!
