2018 330i launch control?

Hi,

I recently tried to get launch control on my 2018 330i and I wasn’t successful. I looked quickly online and it mentioned you had to have the m package which I have (grill, rims, steering wheel). I do what people have said online and in the manual.
1, put in sport+
2, put in manual/sport
3, press hard on brakes
4, floor gas until it clicks (I don’t get a click)
5, let go at 3k rpm

My car goes up to 3k rpm but I don’t get the checkered flags which indicate launch control on my instrument cluster nor do I get the gas pedal click.

Am I missing the option, or is it software related? I can check on bmw vin decoder and see if I have the option if someone has the name for it.

Ps: I don’t have paddle shifter package, maybe that’s why?

I believe in order to get launch control, you need to have "sport automatic gearbox" which you may not have if you don't have paddles. If you look through all the options on your car, look for sport automatic gearbox (option 2TB). You can use a vin decoder website to list out all of your cars specific options. If you don't have it, I BELIEVE you can code it using bimmercode or others.
