Tracking your 4 Series [from Production to Showroom]

Wanted to start a thread where everyone can share their car wait time, specs and photos from pre-production to the showroom.

How long does it take to get into Production and once in production, for it to arrive?

Once the car goes into production usually its 6-8 weeks on avg to get the car back here in the states.

throughout the whole process you can contact your Sales Rep and they can give you the most up to date info on the delivery status. BMW.com is usually slightly behind on status updates. So if your info doesn't say your car is in production there is a chance that it just hasn't been updated yet and your car is in fact in production.

Once your car is done with productions and you know your boats name (you can ask your Sales Rep for this also) you can track its current status on marine traffic's website. Simply type in the boats name and push track its as simple as that.

Once the car gets to the port, the car can be done in as little as 1-2 days or it could be 7-9 days depends on a variety of variables. If your car is coming back from ED then it will be longer due to customs etc..

The wait is always the worst part in buying a new BMW but once you get your new BMW everyone always smiles and says it was worth the wait!!

I ordered my F32 on 10/10, car began production on 10/12 (yes I was shocked as to how fast this went along) and finished on 10/18

arrived at port on 10/21, and loaded onto a ship on 10/23.
estimated to arrive at port here, on 11/7--so based on that--I'm looking at exactly 4 weeks from order, to hitting port here in the U.S-- I'm assuming I should be able to take delivery about 3 days after it arrives at the port (I'm hoping for the weekend of the 8th)--so my total time line is 4-5 weeks from order to delivery. Touch wood--shipping still stays as scheduled!
