Lip Update

I loosened all the hardware in the wheel well and along the front of the belly pan in an attempt to get the bumper to settle in a wider position that would fit the front lip.

I was able to get it a fraction of an inch wider by holding the bumper while tightening the hardware, but not wide enough for the lip to fit properly.

Spent way too much time on this project already, so I decided to surrender (sent the lip back).

I'm just getting my car back today too! Couldn't you have just had someone locally install it?

She recently ordered the front lip (for the M3 style bumper) from MB, and I am pulling my hair out trying to figure out how to get the splitter mounted. Seems like the splitter is just too wide (or the bumper is too narrow at the bottom).

Part numbers ordered from MB (which the sales folks say are a proper match):
- bumper I ordered for her: 1534424306
- front lip she ordered: 1540231386

The MB folks have been trying to help me out, and insist the lip is the proper part for the bumper.

Anyone else encounter this issue?
I'm actually have the same bumper and splitter installed in a couple weeks at MB. I'll take pictures of the finished product and send them to you. Wondering why it didn't fit.. 🤔🤔

Sorry to hear that the lip didn't work out for you, but look at it this way -- now you get to appreciate the awesome curves at the bottom of the bumper that the lip totally ruins. Every other car out there has a flat bottom of the front bumper. The lip turns it into a camry real quick

You got the lip that is meant for the revised bumpers that have the wider lower grills. I know this because I have that new version bumper and Lip with the wider lower grills etc. You will need to get the splitter from Salema or make sure it fits the salema style bumper.

I have the GoodGo m3 bumper with the GoodGo lip. Does the newer version have the same ground clearance as the GoodGo/Selma? I'm on H&R springs and recently trashed my 3rd lip because it's so damn low.

It is higher as the LIP doesn't have such a step down on it. Almost like a flat sheet of plastic. Fitment was 95%. Had to modify the Brake ducts just a little to fit correctly and I removed the FMIC shrouding as you need to get the M3 shrouding to fit correctly. Other than that it looks great and no issues.

Thanks. Based on the looks from v1 and v2, I honestly can't tell them apart but wish I got v2 now.
