Hi, I'm also going to try wrapping the pieces this weekend. I've bought the Di noc 24x48 from amazon. It seems like this is the size everyone bought. Is it enough? I want to get the weaves all at a 45 deg angle but I don't know if this will waste lot of material.

Its important that you start with the biggest part to see whats left to continue. With that size you would have at least only one try when you're wanting to cover wavewise.

Take of all the pieces you will wrap and the lay them all out on the vinyl according to how you want the weaves to go.

+1 exactly this... lay the vinyl down and mark every piece first, 24 by 48 is plenty, you will have enough to do the big center ac piece twice and still have extra. For some reason (maybe the curve on them) the handles are not hard to wrap but they are hard to get the same pattern direction compared to the other pieces

For the handles look at this (no matter which way the waves are flowing)

Is there a guide anywhere to remove these panels? Door handles, center console, dash trim, etc.

Added another piece yesterday, now if I can figure out how to get the steering wheel airbag out I could do the steering wheel trim, I watched a couple of videos and gave it a few tries but I can't get it out

Phew, appreciate your exact way to wrap but a little too much for me.

@Project Elite: Just read the thread and you're up to date with lots of hints and tips

I finally finished wrapping mine. Thank you all for your input. The car looks so much better now. I did break a clip on the FR DR pull handle trim piece, but with so many clips on that piece, you can't even notice anything. Anyways, a good install and with the left vinyl I'm thinking about the gearbox area, but I don't want it to have too much carbon fiber so I'm contemplating

You can do a youtube search for most of those:

1) Main Dash Trim: "BMW F30 radio professional navigation removal 3 series"
2) Door Handles: "Bavsound - BMW 3 Series / M3 (F30) 2012+ Stage I HK and Hifi Speaker Upgrade Install"
3) Driver side air vent: "P3 Cars - BMW F30 Install Guide - Digital a Interface - 328 335"
4) iDrive Trim: don't have a video but just pry it up gently from the center console end using a plastic pry tool or a padded flat head screw driver.

Tried out some Vvivid True R Carbon 4D vinyl. It has a semi-gloss to it, I might add a layer of clear bra to give it some more shine and depth

So heres the next drop out from my skunkworx
I fed up with too much grey/black CF and thought it was time to set a mark. Heres the result, Im absolutely pleased with it, this is the same wrap which was used for my diagonal rods. The light may feit this a little, but the blue tone is nearly exact what the accent lines are.
A word to the shiftlever...Im not finally sure what to do. I got actually an cheap offer for the M-performance replacement, but thats another black glossy CF part. Wrapping the silver surface also CF blue is nearly impossible caused by the fine line between P button and the gear set diagram. The wrap wouldnt be fit at all corner properly and I have no intention to do this several times again, when the wrap comes loose by normal utilisation.
Aaaaand, today I bought at least my moveable armrest from a used parts dealer, OEM and looks like brand new and would be installed tomorrow.

Great info in this thread! Bought a 24"x48" piece of DINOC and took a shot at it today. The pointers from alistairk for vids to remove the trim were invaluable! Thanks for the teed up research there.

All in all, it turned out great. Took longer than I thought and the vinyl was a bear to work with on a few corners, but it looks 1000x better than the stock hexagon trim.

Good job, I see the slight frizzled border to the blue accent line on the centertrim, that was also my hardest job to do and I would do it sometimes again, because I got rid of this amateur look of my performance

I'd just tossed a DIY for removal of my wrapped trim to BigVegas17, if this is into public interest, I'll add some pics here and the step-by-step for ya folks. Wanna have it?
