I'm sorry to hear you are still not back on the road yet, hope it isn't for too much longer.
I know what you mean, I will always regret selling my E30 318is and wish I had kept it but I can assure you Ruby red is still being adored and pampered, the weather we have had this year has shown the colour off to it's best effect the only trouble being that it is often too warm and sunny to wash it.
It is still (and probably always will be) one of those cars you cannot help but look back at when you walk away 😊

Unfortunately it's gone the other way and if anything I'm still 12-18 months away from it even being an outside possibility. Although that should justify my reasoning it's just never going to stop the regret.

The colour does love the sun though doesn't it? It's got that sparkle that responds perfectly. The weather has also been great for listening to the exhaust too

Really sorry to hear that, must be one of the hardest things for a car lover.
The colour is amazing in the sun, almost like a candy red.
Definitely, windows down and roof back, stereo off

rjberry, I'm sorry to hear that your surgery recovery has been a long haul. For what it's worth, just based on what I've seen of your roster of cars, you have impeccable taste, and that will still be the same 1 or 2 years down the line when it's time to bring home a new beauty!

And DJ340, I definitely agree, the Ruby Red color really is something special. I also feel physically incapable of walking away from my car without at least glancing back to admire it.

Just saw this thread. A bit late to acknowledge how rare and fantastic this color is.

this ruby red looks stunning, I'd much prefer this than my melbourne red ! You got that metallic reflection I don't have. Melbourne red is suppose to be metallic too, but it just looks flat in person.

It's been just over a year of ownership now and I still get the same buzz from driving Ruby red and even just looking at it. I have never had a car that attracts so many comments and most of them are about the colour
