Considering changing my set up. F30 328i xDrive tire size help?

Good morning,

I’m currently running a squared set up 245/40/18. My car is lowered 1 1/2 inches on Dinan lowering springs and I’m also running 12mm spacers. I’d like to go wider (255) in theory in the rear to get a more fatter look but I’m not sure if I’ll get tire rub or mess up my xDrive. Wheels are VMRV710's 18 x 8.5.

What would be a good suggestion for tire sizes?

I heard some people running a 225/40/18 in front and 255/35/18 in rear. With running a 225 in the front wouldn't that make the tire size look skinnier than the rear?

Thanks~

oem is + or - 26". 255/35/18 is 25", too small. just run square 255/40/18 on the 18x8.5" VMR, less spacers. keep it simple for your x-drive. then you can rotate any direction as well.

I'm trying to get a wider look in the rear. How about running 245/40 in the front and 255/40 in the rear? Keeping the spacers because I have too much under tuck.

On an xdrive youd be close to the limit of difference in diameters and probably run into xfer case/driveability issues. Is it worth the risk?

So 255/40/18 squared and drop the spacers?

See where you're at without, then add spacers as necessary

here is 255/40/18 on 18x8.5 +35 square... https://f30.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh....php?t=1275285
