Comfort Access system limited - suddenly stopped working the whole system

Hey!

My comfort access is not working for more than a year now and I thought that the battery would need to be changed. I did that, and no luck.
The CA does not work on door handles and on the trunk. There is a second lock button on the trunk which stopped working too. It happened all of a sudden, everything at once. Now and then I get the messege on the screen about a limited comfort access. All 3 keyfobs dont work with CA. I also looked at the fuses and they are ok (I think that I looked at the right ones. Maybe you can point me which ones should I look at again).

My question is, how do I diagnose this? I dont live in a big city so the nearest technician is about 50 km from me and I cant leave the car for a few days as I go to work with it and plus I have a baby. It is not very easy for me to be without a car for days, mainly for my baby needs, when actually the car works fine.

Is there anything that I can look into? I found an antenna below my gearshift, sitting ok there but how do I check if it works? Maybe something else? If there is nothing I can do, it will wait for a proper time to be checked by a tech

It is a BMW 320xd GT (pre lci 2014).

I am greatfull for every advice, good or bad I really like that feature though.
Have a good one!

Deni

Yours is another example of why having an OBD diagnostic tool isn't a luxury, it's a necessity.

Hey! I have a simple scanner which costs like 40 euros but I think that its functions are very limited. What would you recommend?

Did you check the fuse? Maybe that's the problem

So an update: the fuse is OK. The mech ran a scan and we got this:
804103 rear bumper antenna, open circuit.

What does that mean? Anyone can help me locate it?

Open circuit could mean a broken antenna, or a broken antenna lead, or an unplugged lead. Worst case it could be a fault in the FEM You need to find a mechanic familiar with BMW to track it down.
