I ask because I tried leaving that option unchecked, but cold start delete still seems active. The exhaust flap always open worked
Please choose desired OTS map ( map without any additional/custom options) and mark options you need to have to be enabled/disabled- don’t worry about previous installed custom map - flash will ovewrite it.

The back axle is managed by BMW's Performance Control rear differential that varies the torque going to each of the rear wheels...which could explain the better grip off the line (not to mention the heavier 20-21 inch wheels). I will also add, 900+ lbs is a crap ton, so I wouldn't lose my marbles on seeing a typical 340xi trying to find grip off the line...even with a light tune with some typical low-down mppsk type overboost.
Dude I think you're spot on here. Mine is a 2018, and I can do donuts almost as good as any Charger SRT. Well, that may be a tiny stretch, but it's like a cat on a tin roof!

Also, off the line, I think I could probably do at least a 3.8 sec 0-60. It's just so planted and launches so hard. The weight must help it. I think the extra WTQ makes up for any loss experienced from being heavier.

Don't forget, he has the 340xi with a curb weight of around 800-900 lbs less then us with our SUV's. So easier to spin when there isn't a lot of weight to slow you down
The true weight difference is more in the range of 570 lbs. An X3 M40i is a bit under 4300 lbs and a 340i X-Drive is a bit over 3700.

In any case, 600 or 900 lbs less would be amazing.

Same. Not sure the wife is happy about it though ha. I don't live close enough to neighbors and I start in the garage anyways. I am appreciating the burbles too.

Tried the new version today.

Ran the car about 10 miles in total so not really a baseline but still...

The first 5 miles I ran 2 second burble and 50% aggressiveness. It worked great.
On the way back I ran 1 second and 80% aggressiveness.

But it was less aggressive. Not logical imo. Or does that have to do with the shorter duration?

Flashed 1 second and 100% but didn't test it yet, will do that tomorrow.

I think its your durations. I have mine at 3 seconds at 70%. If you are in sport and put tranny in sport as well in 2nd or 3rd let off gas after a hard acceleration around 4-5K rpms. you will get a lot of noise then.

Trans flash question.

So I read the user guide and know what I need to do in order to flash my 440. I have my Android device, downloaded the app, and purchased and received the license permission to flash. The only thing I am waiting on is the K+DCAN cable (It gets deliver in 2 days). My question is: If I am flashing to Stage 2, do I need to flash the transmission, if so, how can I do that? I am in Playa Vista, CA and am hoping that I could somehow flash it on my own or have someone around the LA area help with with it.

I would really like to flash to Stage 3 in the future because I have a VRSF catless Downpipe with the MPPSK and a AP air intake.

It's not necessary at this point to flash the TCU but it does make a noticeable difference. Look for the MP flash thread and there are instructions on the TVU flash there. Took me about 15 minutes total from my laptop.

Borrow K+DCAN Cable?

So my K+DCAN cable is taking way longer to get delivered than expected. Is there anyone in the LA area that I could borrow a cable from or a shop that I can take my car to get it flashed?

Here are my results so far with the latest version. I tried both stage 1 and stage 2.

Sports display HP gauge shows 320 max on both stages. TQ gauge shows ~360 ft lbs on both stages. (I am completely stock other than this flash, so TQ limiter could be in play)

Exhaust valve always open has worked on both maps.

Haven't noticed anything with the burble option yet. My current settings are 50% aggressiveness, 3 sec duration sport, 3 sec duration base. Also tried 30% aggressiveness and setting sport duration to MPPSK.

Haven't had the right conditions to test vmax.

So gauges don't seem to work but what did the butt dyno tell you?

Feel the difference between stage 0/1/2?

Butt dyno felt a huge difference initially when I went from stock to stage 2. Stage 1 did feel a little weaker than stage 2 from a stand still, but my TCU hasn't been flashed so I should be plagued by the torque limiter when using stage 2. I couldn't really tell the difference between stage 1 and 2 from a rolling start. I'm going to flash back to stock to see if my butt dyno notices a difference again.

Tried all the new feature selections on st2, works very nicely.

One thing is I did not see any difference when changing "duration base". Is this because I have MPPSK? Am I correct this setting should adjust / add burble in Comfort Mode? Or what does "duration base" do?

Of course had to try 7 seconds duration and 100% aggressive. Wow, that's obnoxious! Many times I will ride in comfort when I want no burble, so 100% aggressive and 3-4 seconds is probably where I will wind up. --MW

Went back to stock for a while and couldn't wait to flash stage 1 again. The pull stage 1 has over stock is great. Need to get my TCU flashed so I can take advantage of stage 2.

My THOR is in the mail, I can let you know in a day or two. Are using the THOR for initial DME unlock? It has been recommended only to use the k+dcan cable for that. I hear the THOR is more for flashing maps and future logging. --MW

Just did a quick test with my THOR Wi-Fi adapter and didn't have any issues. Like Bavarian MW said, it's not recommended to do the initial flash using the Wi-Fi adapter.

Also, not sure what type of phone you are using, but there was an option that I disabled on my phone called "switch to mobile data". This option would disconnect me from a wireless network if it didn't have internet access.

Already did the initial unlock/flash with cable. Trying to connect with Thor but no luck. I'm using a tablet without mobile data. Selected option to remain connected without Internet.
