The exhaust can fit but you might need some additional parts.
Depending on the rear bumper you have, you have have to get a different insert (msport) or you might need to cut out a hole on the other side (base). Unsure of the sport/luxury variants. You make also need to taper where the stock mid pipe and 340 exhaust meet. Pretty certain the piping between the two have a different diameter. I think there are a couple of threads about using the 335 exhaust in our cars so if you find those, I am sure it will have more details on how to get it done!

any competent muffler shop should be able to make the transition, the difference in piping is less than 10mm.
The mounting points are in the same place as is the valve actuator. I reused my stock hangers as well. If you already have the msport bumper I would suggest just getting the diffuser off a 335 or 340, if you have the any of the regular bumpers you may have to do some cutting.

With regular bumber cutting is not that easy because the cutting/hole on left is more closer to side of the car than left tip in 335/340 muffler. In 335/340 muffler the tips are more middle in the bumper. So you need new holes both left and right side of the bumper and have to block the original hole somehow.
That is what I have found out as I would have also wanted to use 335 muffler in my 320 Sport line. But the price of new bumper is not worth it, at least not for me. |

I am also a owner of 320i (F31) and just had my muffer which I think that might be what you are looking for. Would like to share some of my opinion and I hope somehow they are useful : 1. If you are looking for 335i look, a rear bumper and Rear diffuser ( BMW P/N : 51128054501) are necessary to complete the look. A genuine parts will save you a lot effort and time. 2. For a real better driving experience, either you don't upgrade your downpipe and go with 335 muffer or you will have to upgrade your HP/torque and downpipe at the same time, thus, the torque at low RPM could be maintained close to the original level. Note that change only muffer will somehow sacrifice the torque at low RPM and will increase the HP when you go high speed/RPM.
