And he is still looking.
I also purchased the C4S without test driving. - Never again.

Tell him not to hold his breath, I have been on the waiting list for a 992 Turbo S for the best part of two years now.
Have you thought about buying a nearly new Turbo S, there are a couple on the market for circa £200k which isnt a great deal over list when you look at how some are optioned.

Unfortunately the GT3 is commanding silly money and I just cant bring myself to pay that much over list.

911 prices have jumped again. As have delivery dates.....

I'm seriously considering cancelling my order. I'm currently driving an F22 M240i and that inline 6 B58 has to be one of the world's best engines.

A new model M240i is half the price with the same power, more torque, better performance and 4wd. And better tech too. Other positives, more of a Q-car. Park it anywhere. Cheap to run, insure and service... Less stigma perhaps.

I've ordered one. I will let both orders run simultaneously and decide soon!

What percentage price rise? Delivery now 2023? If so then I guess there would be yet another price rise to come before delivery.

Yes and yes. Porsche prices go up in Jan. 9 month wait for the new M240i, but at least the price is locked in.

Base Porsche Carrera up from £ 84,870.00 to £ 87,330.00. Options up too....

A fully loaded M240i xDrive is way under half the price of a 911 with very similar performance figures. Porsche has better residuals.

Porsche do have better residuals but it's never quite so good as it looks because so few folk will sell/buy privately, then you're at the mercy of the dealer spread between buy/sell prices, which can be huge.

And ultimately, losing 30% of £90k is still a more money than 50% of £45k, then add in the opportunity cost of the capital tied up/interest paid...

Given the current rate of inflation then 3% doesn't feel like too much a price rise however.
