Update i-step version help.

I have been experiencing the issues outline in this TIS: https://static.nhtsa.gov/odi/tsbs/20...36333-9999.pdf

I took my car (2017 F30) to an indy shop to get the software updated and they could not connect to the car and perform the update (after trying for almost a week).

So last ditch effort is to try it myself before taking it to the dealer. I'm troubleshooting why the car wouldn't be able to make a connection. What should I be checking? Right now all I can think of is the fuses in the car's OBD port and disconnecting my third party wi-fi antenna.

Any advice or pointers would be appreciated.

no info provided as to what you are trying to use to connect to the car - enet? icom? are you trying with ista? esys?

wifi antenna would have nothing to do with obd port. the issue could be the obd port itself but without any valid info, hard to troubleshoot.

Maybe you should check fuse 12 on FEM

Yes, sorry. I am connecting using ENET cable. Esys + ISTA (full) for the install.
