Solved with thanks to a forum member's assistance. A .BIN patch loaded via USB and a new map FSC code. The car I'm working on is a 2014 F20 with NBT & Next maps, but is running i-level F020-22-07-530 (2022) so my only assumption as to why the above method works for some or not others is that a later FW update (post-2018 maybe?) may region lock Asia vs ECE/US nav NBT systems - thus requiring a patch.

I didn't even need to re-install the EU nav data I had already loaded. Just patch, enter new code and it came up straight away.

I have read many responses. But I still can't figure it out. Who can help me. I want to change the language of a car that was imported from Canada to Dutch.
There is an entrynav2 in it with WAY. I also want to adjust the Navi via a patch and activate carplay via featureinstaller. Who can help me in the esys process. Do I have to adjust the FA with the type key and remove the USA code and replace it with the NL code? Then code it? Or do I have to flash the unit? PM me if you want or otherwise respond here is also fine.

No regional coding needed for Europe NEXT Map. Just need Map Data and FSC Code.

Start myBMW app with Japan set as your location and English as your language then you will be able to send the car a code and link the car with the app. Nearly all the functionality will work. I’ve done it many times. No need to mess about with the ATM.
