Recommendation for xenon bulb

I own a 2015 pre LCI F30 so the headlight is xenon.

I find that the stock xenon is not bright enough and also not white enough so i am guessing the bulb temp is 4000ish K

Anyone can recommend a replacement xenon bulb that is super bright and in 5000K - 6000K range. I prefer white but i don’t want the blue color in the bulb.

Thanks.

Osram Cool Blue Intense CBI or Osram Cool Blue Boost CBB. CBBs are whiter in color than CBIs. The CBIs were still a bit too warm for me.

I've had both, here's a post I did with screenshots comparing both: https://f30.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh....php?t=1601069

If you don't care about getting a whiter color and just want maximum performance, you can consider Osram Nightbreaker Laser or Philips Xtreme Vision Gen2.

Pre-LCI had both Halogen and Xenon headlights (the Xenons being brighter/better). The Xenons came with adaptive too, iirc. Check which one you have before buying replacement bulbs, they’re very different.

i don't like too blue, it's bad for eyes, but i don't want yellowish either. i think 5000K temperature is the perfect spot, 6000K starting to get a bit blue?

if 5000K is the compromise between blue and yellow, what bulb would you recommend? CBI and CBB is already 6000K

thank.

It sounds like the Osram Cool Blue Intense CBI would be good for you. I know they advertise up to 6000k but in reality it's just a tad whiter than OEM, and most certainly not blue. It might be blue when it just starts up but it'll settle into a white color once the bulb warms up.

They just released a CBI Next Gen though, which replaces the original CBI. I don't have direct experience with the Next Gen so I can't say, my feedback is based on the original CBIs.

I recommend the PHILIPS D1S X-tremeVision gen2 as the brightest replacement bulb in the market. Definitely brighter than OEM and slightly more white.

Yes that's the CBI next gen but I wouldn't recommend Amazon. There are a lot of fakes.

Check out theretrofitsource.com or Lightwerkz.net

Also +1 to the Xtremevision Gen2 recommendation above as well. Very bright, but not as white as the CBI though.

I went with Osram cool blue intense, there's no blue really although the name clearly says so.
I would recommend them if you want pure white. For me, i wish they were slighlty more blue
