PCV valve?

Are these user-replaceable on the N20 engine? If so, where is it located?

The part is integral to the valve cover, so if it ever goes south on you, you'd be replacing them as a unit. I believe you can actually remove the PCV valve from the cover (thought I saw a kit somewhere?) but, I think that kit was aftermarket. I would just replace them as a unit if I ever had to. Buy once, cry once as the saying goes.

Perhaps it could be cleaned if it clogs, but it won't clog if you install an oil catch can, which also saves you from having to do an expensive valve cleaning job.

This will likely be my next reliability upgrade. I’ve ran a borescope through the intake and managed to get to a couple of ports. Valves are still pretty clean. I plan on doing GDI cleaner in the meantime to help keep buildiup at bay. What can are you running? BMS?

I got one of these:

I've got it in the engine bay but haven't gotten around to piping it yet.

One of the customers for it has an installation video; I'll check it out. People were talking about oil catch cans several years ago, when I bought the Buick Regal -- it was a DI engine too -- but I had no idea how to install one.
