Perhaps worth adding that these should certainly not be used on an xDrive car due to the significant (16mm) difference in diameter of the front and rear tyres.

Hi can you clarify this please? I was looking for a set for my xdrive. Would 255/35/19 and 225/40/19 be ok on a standard wheel setup? It's a f31 335d xdrive. Thanks

The tyres the OP listed were non standard and 16mm different in diameter, which could well cause problems on an xDrive car.

The tyres you have suggested are one of the standard BMW staggered sets and are 2mm different in diameter from front to back, which is fine for xDrive. My summer MPS4S set are these sizes, as were the original Bridgestones.

I suggest using a tyre calculator like this one to make a comparison: www.tyremen.co.uk/tyre-size-calculator
