Afternoon all,
Still trying to get to the bottom of my jerky steering (at motorway speeds) which is driving me insane. Control arms and tracking were done and it made no difference.

I'm leaning towards the rack now.

However, whilst I do not have the famous knocking sound, I wonder if the thrust piece is worn and it requires the repair kit because I do have the odd random knock.

Just before I order the repair kit 32106891974, I note that the repair kit is only for Thyssenkrupp (high & sport (??)) systems.

Looking on realoem, my chassis J704326 could well contain the "ZF" manufactured steering rack but I have no way of being sure if it's ZF or Thyssenkrupp.

Is there a definite way of telling which rack I have installed?

I think with something as critical as steering you need to go to the dealer and get it the correct parts, they will know.
