no more launch control on f30 (SOLVED)

Hi,

launch control was working perfectly fine but the last couple times I've tried to use it, the checkered flag never appeared, same for the message "launch control activated".

I've done the exact same steps to use the LC but now, nothing happen.

I'm really not the kind of person to use LC at every stop but I'm the kind who likes to know what's going on if something isn't working like it should.

Can someone help or has seen a similar situation?

Sounds like the car has hit the undocumented 50 launches limit https://www.xhpflashtool.com/blog/la...rol_explained/

damn.. If this is true, it tells a lot on the previous owners. I've probably used the LC no more than 6 or 7 times since I own the car (almost 2yrs).

Indeed, ZF kit is already in the garage. I simply don't have the time to do it

In fairness, if you consider how many times you did it in 2 years, they just did it 2x more (based on your car age).

Also you need to drive the car for 6 miles or more before you can do the launch control, it sure if you know this.

I didn't know about the 50 LC limit

Special thanks to anotheran for the link and Christoph from XHP.

I've contacted XHP and Christoph raised the flag that it might be caused by a coded cluster. I've previously used bimmercode to add the digital speed display in my cluster. I've removed it and on the first test, launch control is back again

With the LC back, car feels a lot more faster and smoother than without the checkered flag displayed. Without the LC, it feels like brake boost and IMO, something wasn't feeling right.

Is there someone who has been able to code the digital speed display with bimmercode and been able to still see the LC message?

I have digital speed display and sport trans (with launch control) both working and coded with BimmerCode.

but does your car came with the sport transmission from factory or you had to code it?

maybe that if they are all coded together through bimmercode it will work. Maybe it created a glitch when digital speed is coded on a car that already came with LC and sport trans from factory
