Mineral grey in real life
I've seen a few Sportline Mineral grey F32 on the road and i found them Meh, especially when there's no sun.
Today i was in Germany, mild weather, not sunny nor rainy, and i saw an Msport Mineral grey F32 with black wheels. It looked really mean. I finally understand why people like this color. I think its a good compromise if you like black and you still want to see the details of the msport (saw a black msport, gorgeous color but you can hardly tell if its an msport, especially from behind). It also had the LED and they look good, believe me. It really add to the look. |

I've always been a fan of dark grey. Had it on my Tacoma. For the F30, I was dead stuck on Estoril Blue and wasn't even considering the Mineral Grey (MG). Then a deal came around that I couldn't pass up on an MG and I thought to myself, well I can "live with it."
What the hell was I thinking not considering this color in the first place?! It is absolutely the best color aside from Sakhir Orange, and absolutely more livable (you'll never get tired of the color). For me, the MG represents the perfect combination of performance and luxury. It is aggressive, shows the lines well - yet doesn't scream for attention. And, like the above poster said it never looks dirty. It also doesn't show swirls like a lot of the other metallics. |

I didn't order Mineral Gray on Red on my 435 because of the BMW site. Pics don't really do this color combo justice.
I actually ordered it because I've seen a lot of Corvettes with a similar Cyber Gray on Red color combo. It's a classy color combo that looks gorgeous. I had a Silver on Red Corvette that looked great too and I think that color combo would look great on the 4 Series as well. Plus, like AgentCircus said, you don't have to wash it as much. Since this car will be my DD, that's a little more important to me.

I've had my Mineral Grey 420i M Sport for a week now, and I gotta say, I ordered the colour because I thought it was a sensible "business like" colour. I wasn't convinced that it would be the best looking colour, but I needed it to look subtle and business like. I also ordered black trim throughout inside. It looks the nuts, far better than I believed it would, it's just an awesome colour that does the car justice in every light! The best colour I think, and my next one will be MG too I'm certain!

I love the black but agree in some light you can't see the body features.

I hate gray colored car, but Mineral gray is one only exception. This color is brilliant in bright sunlight or low light at night, whenever there is a source for reflection. I admit it is meh in shade at daytime, but can be better if it's waxed and polished well.

When I was ordering my car, I went back and forth several times between Mineral Grey, White, and EB II. My initial gut was for MG, but I didn't decide until the last moment, and am for sure glad I went with the MG/CR combo. While I think both other colors are very nice, the color combo is just hard to beat...and with gloss black rims on now, I love it even more...

I would say the best thing about sapphire black is it makes the head lights really stand out more, especially at night. But to really appreciate the body and curves of the car, you really can't beat EBII followed by MG |

[QUOTE] Spot on. The site is horrendous trying to portray their colors, any of them....well except white and black I guess.

I love mg. had it for 6 months now and still think it is the best for sure. It also looks awesome with cf additions. but admit I prefer it in overcast conditions to sunny.

I was toying with EBII or MG but finally decided on Sapphire, don't know why but as when dirty it doesn't look great.
But when its clean, i just love the look and shine of it. Also as I ordered the xDrive and appreciate the ride is 10mm higher the black seems to some how disguise the gap a little i think. To be fair any new car in showroom condition will look awesome! |

err, that's my car!
The original photo looks a little quieter though Colour preference is so subjective that it would seem pointless to debate it were it not so emotive. Now I love MG - clearly, I chose it for my F30 and think it looks gorgeous. However, somewhat strangely, I don't like it on the F32. Much like the OP, having seen it IRL, I think it hides the car's lines and is a bit too dreary (apologies to F32 MG owners). But this is purely subjective and, as dannywooly77 points out, in showroom condition, just about any colour will look awesome. At the time of ordering, none of the F32 colours got me really excited. EBII is great but it's not for me and, whilst I love AW, I suspect that's because in every pic I see, it's parked in the sun in one of the US's southern states - I wasn't convinced that it would look so great in the UK midlands So I've gone for Glacier Silver since my preferred colour, Moonstone, wasn't available when I ordered I might regret it but hopefully, with a really good polish & wax, it will come up a treat Last edited by PrinceBarin; 03-18-2014 at 05:01 AM.. |

Aaah another glacier silver !
I also hesitated with Moonstone as it was available but... i dont know... it looks a bit feminine to me. I agree it looks gorgeous on a 6GC but on smaller car i would think of a woman's car so i went glacier. It's all subjective of course. |

a few quick phone pics from yesterday
saddle brown interior, btw it's a great color, but too close to my sparkling graphite to get; it would have been my 2nd choice however
