Buy the oil kits from FCP (I buy BMW brand from them) they are like 70$ for the first purchase. Then the next oil change, buy another kit and send back all the oil and the filter. They will refund each time you do an oil change. So, in theory, you are only paying for shopping cost every time you do an oil change after the first time.

It's not a bad deal and it OEM BMW oil.

My last oil change was with an FCP Euro service kit, but it'll be a few months until the next change. I'm borderline excited to use their warranty process because it should save a ton of money.

The one question that's sticking in my mind is whether or not FCP requires a minimum number of weeks/months between each reimbursement claim. If not, that means that one could GREATLY reduce their oil service interval for a small cost (shipping). It makes good business-sense to me if they were to only allow reimbursement after 6-ish(?) months. Nevertheless, their commitment here is really very impressive.

Just changed my oil using a kit from FCP Euro as well. I change my oil every 3-4K miles. I will post back as well with the return/refund process

I'm lucky to have crappy tire next to my office, that's where i get my 5L Pennzoil platinum euro 5W40, regular price $60, every couple months it goes on sale for half price of $30, oil filter is like another $10, and since I do the oil change myself, I think $40 CAD ($29 USD) all in is hard to beat for oil change on any BMW.

Not if your getting your oil and filter from fcpeuro. It’s just the cost of return shipping.

I highly doubt someone from western Canada can ship 5L of oil across the border for $29 (to Connecticut).

Yeah, I could confirm they're LL04 since pepboys had these on sale for $18 and some change. Last day for their sale was on 3/31.

Btw, autozone has the Chevron Techron Complete Fuel System Cleaner, BOGO free (same as BMW part no. 82140413341) going on but will end 4/1.

5w-40 is OK in hot climates. As for the brand etc., read the first four pages of the thread.

Yeah I have successfully done it. Both oil and cabin air filter, Shipping for both was $30, it's a little inconvenience, to go out and ship it, but no big deal.

Got my refund about 10 days after sending the oil back. It's worth the 100 savings for the oil change every time.

I’m gonna try it with the prepaid box. I’ve heard it holds the filter 5 liter and 2 single liter containers.
