A friend of mine has got a f30 and it’s just come up it wants a service but does not want to use the main dealership so is there anyway of getting this updated on the I drive or we’re can do it in the Liverpool area as one he has tried said it’s deelers only.

There’s a BMW specialist called MB on Great Howard Street, it’s literally just down the road from the main dealership. They’re brilliant and will update the iDrive to say it’s been serviced. There’s also a place in St Helens called Graham Martin Automotive. They too are a BMW specialist and will do your service at the fraction of the price that the main dealer will, also updating your iDrive. I’ve used both of them for various services and would recommend them both without a doubt. If you call them then they’ll tell you the prices over the phone and get you booked in. I found that GMA was cheaper for the oil change whereas MB gave a better price for the brake fluid change. Hope this helps. |

The idrive service history can be updated with non-BMW services
You need a cable (same type as used with ISTA and eSys) and the HU Manager software There are some caveats but the software does work. Search my posts for HU Service Manager for full details at http://f30.bimmerpost.com/forums/sho....php?t=1456664 I've entered the interim oil changes I do myself. Let me know if you want any specific help Last edited by Sasquartch; 05-22-2018 at 03:58 AM.. Reason: Add URL |
