435i catless downpipe

Hey guys, I would like to ask.
I've already mounted akrapovic exhaust on my car, im looking for catless downpipe. I'm really confused in choosing downpipe producer.
I'm thinking about Wagner and Evolution racewerks - (There is available Ceramic thermal coat black, is it worth of that money?) or is there anything else better for that money? Thank you guys, for every response!

Most people will tell you that it comes to personal preference. Without a cat, all downpipes really aren't different, as they're just a piece of pipe. Go with whatever brand makes you the most comfortable

If it’s catless then they all will sound the same. Its just a straight pipe.

Tend to be a fan of ceramic coating. As for which one, it's just a straight pipe. Am sure you know.... the car will have CEL light due to going catless. We're about to install a Fabspeed HJS cat pipe, and that flows about 90% of cattless yet no CEL or typical catless smell problem.

Since you asked... I run the Akra with Wagner catless DP. PURE SEX is the only way to explain it...

While I like ER I was disappointed with their downpipe. First one I bought had to be returned because the o2 bung was off causing the sensor to touch the exhaust mani. Then the process of that which required buying another one to swap (I didnt want to swap to oem then again since its a pita) and the whole return process but overall good support.

Take a look at CTS turbo - really happy with my downpipe from them and it was a very reasonable price.

The replacement I have fit better but does not line up perfectly with the flex pipe/gasket so I have a small exhaust leak I need to fix at some point.
The Wagner was gorgeous... flawless welds, flawless fit, amazing sound, bolted up in 20 minutes.

Point of order, I did manage to mess up the lower O2 sensor when switching them over from the stock cat to the catless dp (resulted in a lack of voltage to lower heated oxygen sensor), which caused some weird performance issues. I bought a new one on FCP euro and had it installed in 15 mins by a shop that I have an acquaintance at, but it still ended up adding an extra 150 or so to the net price of the install lol.

I'd always recommend ceramic. It keeps down under-hood temps and helps the exhaust gasses flow better faster through the exhaust, increasing performance.

I try to stay out of the brand wars on the forums but there are many good options.

PM away if anyone has any questions.

There's only so many ways to design a pipe, especially when your trying to maximize size in a tight space without using hard angles

Instead of starting a new thread i'll ask here, please forgive me I want to go catless as well and was going to get the jb4. But i'm reading that doesn't remove the CEL anymore. What tuner would I need to clear the CEL. I wouldn't want to have to buy JB4 and then buy different tuner just for the CEL.

My JB4 definitely clears the code, granted I havent updated in about 18 months. If that's really the case, then I suppose I will not be updating lol.

Have 2016 F32 and installed VRSF catless downpipe. Great sound and easy to do. Got the CEL but later installed the ‘anti fowl’ plug extender to pull the lower sensor out of the pipe. CEL has not come on now for weeks.
