So assumed you were not interested in a stock PWG AH3.
Hi,

Sorry man, it's been tough to keep up on forums. Most of the guys I tune go to me directly via PM, or text, messenger etc. I try my best to keep a face to names.

Vigilante wanted burbles, he got burbles. I have a pretty good idea of how to tune these cars now.

CP is definitely important. I've popped a stock chargepipe on my x3 at around 12-14psi the other day.

Per my last response, I much prefer to work on a "stock" like car with basic boltons and move up from there. Makes things much better to work on.
I messaged and got no response

No idea how to contact you directly.

Cleared a bunch of PM's recently, might have missed it. Feel free to reach me again.

The Fuel-It DIY N55 kit. I was using the BMS JB4 integrated controller, but since I've ditched the JB4 it's just been sitting in there hooked up to nothing. I was going to buy an AIC2 or whatever was recommended by whomever was doing the tuning.

Yeah. I've done a car with the AIC2. Fairly straight forward.

Send me a PM. let's open a dialog. I'd love to learn more about the AH3.. that EME would be great for keeping torque available from 1500-3000 until the PS2 spools at roughly 3500rpm.

BAD NEWS

So I finally bought my license from someone who was selling theirs, and was super excited to finally tune my AH3. I bought everything I needed, from a battery charger to the wifi agent, and then tried to activate my vehicle.

I loaded up the agent using a Mac, and realized I wasn't able to activate my vehicle due to it not recognizing my software, so I opened a support ticket with PTF.

After waiting a couple days, this is what Dzenan from PTF sent me

"Unfortunately we have recently decided to end tuning support for AH3 and AH5 cars at least until we have local cars to test with. There are over 6800 bm3 users today and we only have a handful of hybrids whom aren't local to us to finalize tuning work on. After considerable time spent with remote cars we've decided for now to seize support. I'm really sincerely sorry and hope we can open up support for it again once a local car is available."

I was upset and explained to him that we had this forum open with a couple of users already tuned with BM3 and pleaded with him to let me activate my vehicle even if there were gonna be issues and even told him cookiesowns was helping the AH3 owners out with custom tunes and he replied with

"Yes, we've been working on that and its been nothing but pain. We have 4 other hybrids tickets in our support queue and its still work in progress and I can't add another one only to have you have the same issues as well as the tickets are pending and still work in progress. I believe in two cases we got the issues sorted but there are still issues that happen which we don't fully understand that are hybrid motor/torque management related and we can't take on any further hybrid work on remote cars at this time unfortunately, I'm really sorry."

I wish I knew they were gonna stop supporting the activehybrid platform before buying a license and wifi agent, but hopefully they figure this out sometime soon because my car is pretty much begging for a tune now (BMS intake, remus axle back, gintani downpipe, vrsf charge pipe, vrsf intercooler, ER tic, GFB DV+)

On another note, does anyone want to move to Canada so PTF can have a local car they can work on?

So is it even safe for me to run the bm3 tune on my car? I've been running it for a couple of weeks and it seems mostly fine but it does seem jerky at times.

3 AH3 cars in the support queue and 1 AH5 that slipped through and we gave in to try and help this customer asking get it tuned. So much time spent and the worst part is we sort things out and get no response in days or weeks at a time. Without a local car to test on and get this finalized you can imagine how frustrating this can be

Believe this is Armann? Just responded to you. Your log looks very promising but you only ran it about 60-75% throttle not WOT and only to 4500rpm or so. If we had a hybrid here I'd be out there for a week with it and get this finalized but we don't. 6800 users and a handful of hybrids, 3 of which are in Japan, 1 in India makes this very difficult due to timezones as well as we're in Toronto/Canada and Denmark.

So will you be doing correct thing and refunding the money for those who Purchased BM3 licenses or allow transfer as new with a secondary transfer?

Interesting several spoke of bringing AH3 to Canada but PTF never said “bring it on”.

We're still working with the hybrid cars we have in the queue. If anyone mentioned bringing an AH3 to us here and was serious they would've reached out to us about it to get it organized. If still interested let us know.

Its really funny to me that this entire thread is so active yet we get the least amount of logs and its also literally 0.14% of our entire customer base but we're here and if we can make this happen we will. @afranke who's a member here I believe was sorted so there's a light but we need data or a car to get this done once and for all.

There's a few guys that are local here to me IK6SPEED and a few others in the thread.. Maybe we can gather a test and tune day for you to get you some data. I'm here to support as needed!

Thank you cookiesowns for helping us out. I’m in San Diego and I believe one more guy is down here as well, RITTZ619? I’m more than down to drive up to Irvine to see you and work on a few things to nail everything down for support for everyone.

I get how hard it is for PTF to work on hybrids but that’s the reason this thread was made. I bought my license secondhand so I’m not Sure if I’m gonna get my money back so I really want this to work.

I had been holding out for a stable tune as it's my DD and I can't afford a breakdown during the week. I also have a JB4 so I wasn't in a huge rush. That being said, I'd been itching to buy the license so I can BEF (and for some light burbles) and will do so if that helps. I have a 2014 EWG AH3 with CTS intake. My VRSF chargepipe and intercooler are sitting in a box waiting for me to get some install time. I'm in NYC so it doesn't help the local part unfortunately.

I just got a new daily driver, want to organize shipping my AH3 up to you for a bit? As long as you don't break it, I don't exactly need it at the moment.

I'll have some bandwidth to do some AH3 cars in the next few days. If anyone wants to shoot over a tune request with some base logs and detailed description of their mods on the car I can start doing some development on the AH3.

Preferably EWG to start so we can not deal with boost control in the meantime.

I would do some logs but can't activate my vehicle due to the stopped support from PTF. Will beg to PTF to let me in but since they're on vacation, might be a while.

It just sits in my driveway most of the week until Saturday comes, so it really wouldn't be a big issue (so long as it came back in the same condition as it leaves in). Not sure I'd feel like paying to ship it from Texas to Canada myself (not sure how much it would cost, I just imagine it's not $20), but if something could be arranged on that front I got no problem sending it.

I’m going to imagine sending to Buffalo is much cheaper than sending to Toronto. I would think customs and dealing with a car being shipped *might* be a nightmare as opposed to driving it from Buffalo to Toronto as owner.

Who did you purchase yours through?

On an eBay discount day?

I bought it secondhand so I’m sure there’s no way for me to get my money back which is why I’d rather just be one of the tests cars to help out because there’s no other option for me other than waiting.

If you have read file from a dealer you would be able to activate. Thing is getting that activation code. Do you have one from BM3? If so I can probably find a factory AH3 file for you for you to send to BM3 and you can flash using that.. but it's not optimal.
