Los Angeles Dealer new key program deals??
Any recommendations for cheap dealer key programming. I ordered a new key from BMW and thought I could hold it against the steering column and start and it would work. It doesn't. Argh. Thinking I may need to dealer to delete the old key from my car before it can accept a new one?? Any Los Angeles recommendations for best pricing on this 5 minute job?

Do you have your old working key with you while doing this? You should have the working key in your pocket and the new unregistered key up against the spot on the steering column. Then start the car.

Yes. Exactly. Had the old working key and the new key. I've seen other threads that say the car already has 2 keys stored so has to have the missing key deleted?? Not sure if that's true. Also saw a thread that stated the dealer can push the lock button in a certain sequence to force the car to accept the new key.
