Collected: Estoril Blue F30 340i Shadow Edition

I collected my 340i on Thursday lunchtime and I'm really pleased with it. Externally the Shadow Edition styling is nice and subtle and the 704 wheels look great. Inside the full Merino leather is a nice step up and of course the digital cockpit is a great boys toy. But of course it's all about the engine - I'm already thinking the B58 is amazing and I've only done 100 gentle miles so far. Can't wait to use it in anger.

I don't recall any EB F30 Shadow pictures on the forum so below are my efforts although I'll never make a professional photographer I'm afraid.

Very nice, and especially good that the headlight and tail light 'shadowing' is very subtle!

Although how have you managed to get condensation in the headlights already?!

Not sure. It's not there now but I'll keep an eye on it.

One question about maps - I drive tells me I have EUROPE EVO 2017-2 but I thought that was 2017-3 now? Also when I log onto connected drive it's not offering me a download, just the purchased USB updates. I thought we all got free OTA or downloaded updates now??

Good spot. It's on the back road across from Beckwithshaw towards Fewston. I work in Harrogate.

I like the usb point that’s now useable under the climate controls.

Genius has confirmed I should have had 2017-3 maps so black mark for the dealer I think.

They also say that OTA updates are not available for my car. I've looked again at the description of Pro Nav on the website and it says "Free map updates are available at BMW Retailers for three years." and doesn't mention OTA updates. Have these been quietly dropped?

That would be very strange! Best thing to do is register on https://www.bmw-connecteddrive.co.uk...x.html#/portal and add the car to your account, then select the ‘remote cockpit’ tab and it will show you what services you have, this is mine showing both automatic and USB map updates:

Harrogate's only about 12 miles from where I live and do use the Beckwithshaw to Pool road from time to time!

Did you get your 340i from Stratstone Harrogate? They're my local dealer and I've always found them prepared to negotiate on price if they perceive you're a serious customer; quite happy with their work on the servicing side too!

I am registered at connected drive but Map updates is not there. My map version looks like this. Is this different to yours?

Yes that’s the same map I have on my NBTevo idrive. Do you have idrive 6?
