Talking VRSF Downpipe Now Available for the B58 Engine!

B58 DP Now Available!!

Extreme Powerhouse is proud to introduce the new VRSF 4.5” Downpipe for all BMW 2016+ BMW 340i/440i/740i. This DP is of the highest quality on the market! Unlike many other DP, there is little back pressure due to the fact that VRSF removed the restrictive catalytic converter. The reduced back pressure results in a faster spool, a significant increase in power, and a much more aggressive exhaust. VRSF DP features steel design with a CNC 304 grade stainless steel flange that offers a smooth transition from the turbo to the mid pipes.

Overview
  • The DP is made from hand crafted, tig welded 4.5" 304 grade stainless steel.
  • Smooth radius bends to decrease turbulence and increase flow.
  • Fits the stock catback as well as all aftermarket catbacks that mate up with the OEM downpipe.
  • CNC SS304 Stainless Steel Flange.
  • Gains from 25-30hp with tune.
  • VRSF Lifetime Warranty

Fits the following
  • 2016+ F22 BMW M240i & M240i xDrive
  • 2016+ F30/F31 BMW 340i & 340i xDrive
  • 2016+ F32/F33/F36 BMW 440i & 440i xDrive
  • 2016+ G30 BMW 540i & 540i xDrive
  • 2016+ G11/G12 BMW 740i & 740i xDrive

Its word by word the same for both, except instead of being 100% free flow you get a high flow cat

+1... wondering how this stacks up against the CG DS-1 down pipe which, I've heard, is pretty good at keeping exhaust smell down and CEL away.

EDIT: Looks like it's available with a 200 cell cat according to their site

Does anybody know what will be the performance difference on stage 3 between this catted and cattless vrfs downpipes? How much are we sacrificing with the high flow cat?

20-30 whp in my opinion but it's best to check with a custom tuner. I recommend CaryTheLabelGuy

Isn't that the sum benefit of catless in first place? Eg stage 1 (ecu only) to stage 2 (ecu plus DP) is like what 30-40whp usually difference? Is there any benefit then over stock?

Thanks for the recommendation!!!

We never had any issues with the version without brackets, but most customers like the brackets since it provides better support and the OEM one use a bracket as well.

VRSF listened and made the upgrade without raising the price

Just saw Tiago's response on another thread:

It's not intended to support the load, it's there to help inexperienced installers at BMW's dealerships line up the relative flange angles.

Regardless, our downpipes now include the bracket to aid said installers

I commend VRSF for listening to customers and making changes. The revision was not needed and it cost them more money (Testing and material). They did the upgrade without raising the price

Do you know about the smell of the 200 cell catted DP? Can you smell it when you're sitting inside and idle? How about when the car is driven?
