I would be interested as well. I too have base light now but have rain sensor. I have not yet purchased parts because I was afraid that it would be difficult job because of missing wiring harness.

I have also done center console ambilight upgrade by changing trim piece to LCI one. It was easy enough but does dome light need new harness and should that new harness be connected to FEM? If yes, I guess it's not that easy.

You need +12v and k-line. Take them from the rain sensor. Wire 21 from FEM is already in the base domelight. Gnd to. Just needs repinning. So no it isnt difficult If you retrofit rear dome to you need to make a wiring harnes from front to rear. Not hard cause its a straight line. You would need 1 wire from fem. There is a unused wire in the base light that can be used for rear. Just repin in FEM |

4 6pin connectors: 61130406869 the right pins. 24: 61130005197 Front dome light: 61319312496 rear dome light: 61319277932 couple of mtrs of wire .35 mm2, dont know the awg... and you will need to make a ycable for the rain/light sensor. i think its a 3 pin connector but cant be sure. buy a male and a female. with the pins. or you can splice the wires and solder them directly on the wires that go to the rain/light sensor. you will need power and k-lin. i started the diy i hope i finish it this week. |

View post on imgur.com )Are you sure you have bought that connectors, using that exact same code? Also, pin connectors (24 pcs), am little bit confused, when I type that code in google, there is only short cable with female pin? View post on imgur.com View post on imgur.com Isn't there supposed to be only pins, without cables? |

For the pins i bought them on ebay with that number and it comes with wire. I found it easy as i dont have a shrink tool. I solderd wires to it and used shrinktube. |
