Either way, i'm going to be modding the beast right when I get it so ill post my updates as they happen.

WOW that car looks amazing with the red interior. I am getting a 2014 in mineral grey and I am not considering the red interior it looks great! I have been thinking black for awhile but that has given me something to think about

Wife and I debated over the interior color...choices were black, beige, or red, and we were getting tired of black interiors. I'm glad we got the red - gets comments everywhere. And interestingly enough, you don't really notice the red when you're driving, since you are looking primarily at the dashboard. Makes the car stand out, and although the camera/flash makes the red look brighter than it is, the color is a great complement to the Mineral Gray.

Car looks phenomenal its a great choice. All things equal I would probably pick it but I was going to go leatherette and I'm not sure it's worth another 1450 to me but I'm still in the planning stages. Only thing I have definitely locked in are mineral gray, nav and sport line

Leatherette is fine, but leather just adds so much to the car. Also, if you get the Premium package, it includes the leather, lumbar support, keyless entry and a host of other things. Even without Premium, it's still a great feature - plus, going leatherette limits you to black or beige.

The factory navigation is nice, but personally, I think $2K+ is way too much for it, considering that it is also very expensive to update maps and such, and from my personal perspective, it's not as good as a higher-end Garmin unit (feature-wise). I drove a 640i Gran Coupe' loaner for a few days before my car arrived, and while I liked the built-in unit, there were several things it wouldn't do that my 2955 Garmin will - like split-screen with the correct lane to be in when exiting a freeway/major highway, better voice command capability, and so forth. I put that money into the Premium Package and still believe it was well worth it.

I like the big screen/HUD/BMW Apps and everything else that goes with the tech package. I havent used my moonroof in 5 years, im 24 and dont need lumbar support, dad has keyless entry and neither of us use it on his car and the only feature I would use in premium is sat radio. I have contemplated adding leather but I would do it as a stand alone because everything else is useless to me. Your pictures have made me think of adding red leather but if I went black, which I have been planning on doing, I will go leatherette because the new leatherette has almost no difference. My dad and I were super skeptical and we went and did a feel test and a drive test with both and could barely feel the difference.

The lumbar support has nothing to do with age - it has a lot to do with comfort on long trips. Leatherette doesn't have the "aroma" of leather, nor will it be much of a draw when trade-in time comes around. I should have said "comfort access" instead of keyless entry - you keep the key in your pocket, as there's no slot for it inside the car at all. If you're getting the tech package, then Nav makes more sense because of the larger screen - but it's still a lot of money for what I consider a so-so navigation capability.

I wish BMW would bring back the medium gray leather that we have on our 128i Convertible (check my "garage" pictures) - I probably would have gone with that, as I had that color leather on two E46 330i sedans I had in the past. It' doesn't get as hot as black - my former E92 in Sparkling Graphite had black leather, and it was hot even with legal-max tinting. Red is a great contrasting color, though, and you won't regret getting it. It will set your car apart from many others with the black interior.

a lot of good points i have had my '01 325 since '04 and it is silver/gray so i need a change but i love the gray. i was set on the black and debating leather vs leatherette but the gray/red looks great, especially in florida where i live it will look awesome. i just need to figure out how much i can afford. i am looking to lease so trade in value isnt too much of a concern

If I recall, I think you can get red contrasting stitching on the black with the Sport Line. Not so on M-Sport Line, though. So you do have a few choices there - but I really do like the red. If you're leasing, I wouldn't think the leather would bump the payment up very much, so it's worth some though.

haha it bumps it about 20-25 a month but I have been saying thats not a big bump for the last 100-150/month i have added from the base 328. I was also looking at the 320i as 95% of my driving is in 45 miles an hour or less driving areas in tampa but I want to upgrade a little from the 180 HP in my current 325.

You can actually do the black leatherette with the red highlight so its sports it a little for leather or leatherette. Only way I see myself getting leather is if the pictures of your car I keep staring at convince me to go gray/red

You may want to reconsider the 328 instead of a 335 for the kind of driving you're doing. It's way faster than your 325i, but also gets better mileage than the 335 and is roughly $4-5K lower in price (maybe more - haven't checked prices lately). I drove a 328i loaner for a couple days and it is underrated at 240HP - feels more like 260. I don't think you'd be disappointed in the power at all. Then, you could get your red leather!

I wasnt thinking 335 at all if anything I might go down to the 320 but the 328 is almost definitely what I will do. You are right for me, the 335 provides a minimum upgrade because i wouldnt get to use that upgraded power most of the time i drive. I am going to the dealership tuesday for the BMW driver event (not sure the actually name of it) and I am going to look at some options and compare and contrast (and collect my 1K off any car ordered before october rebate!). I really hope he has a car with a red interior so I can see it in person. I have a feeling that if I see it then my decision will be made because it looks amazing in your pics and in tampa, since everyone has a BMW, it would be nice to standout

Best of luck to you, then - hope you find just what you're looking for! Whatever you do end up with, I'm sure you'll be pleased with your decision to get an F30.

thinking about getting this color combo on a 4 series coupe

i plan on leasing so im not sure if i should do leather or leatherette?

its between this combo or EB2 + black interior ...the eb2 is a better exterior color IMO (im in my mid 20's so it suits me well) but, im not so sure on a black interior...its nice, but boring...the red interior is very nice but i wouldnt do it with EB2 exterior ...im not sure what to pick
