N20 Odd Noise. Any Suggestions?

Hi,

I was out by my car the other day (with it off and locked) and it was making a weird noise. My car has comfort access and I did have the key on me.

I just went out to my car to check something and I heard it again and got it on video. Any ideas as to what this noise is? It's to the right of the motor (N20), but it's dark and cold at the moment and a little difficult to pinpoint the exact location. The car has been off for about 30 minutes and I have the key in my pocket.

Thanks!

Bryan

So the engine is off and this is the sound you recorded? Unusual.

Were you able to replicate it?

After the engine is turned off, the vehicle still performs many servo-motor enabled tasks powered by the battery. This one is for the dealer to diagnose.

Hi, thanks for the message. That's correct, the car is 100% off. It actually does it time to time, but I have no idea. Hasn't caused any issues, just wanted to be prepared if it was a warning sign..

I'll have to go to the dealer one of these days and see what they think.

My previous 2013 F30 335i xDrive sedan developed a different sound, also appearing after the engine has been turned off.

My car makes all kinds of noises when it's "off". But nothing like that.
