Hey all, recently I purchased an M2 axle back for really cheap. I’m a welder so I was confident on being able to make it fit. It was cake it actually bolts right up to the stock hangers. All I had to do is trim the diffuser to get the extra tips tips to fit.

Sounds great! Good job. I have the same car same color! Wish I would have thought of this. I went with the Active Autowerke exhaust sounds pretty good too, all though I do have the Fabspeed high flow cat as well so the crackles and pops are nice !

That does look and sound good. Are the two exhausts the same diameter?

Yep, 3in. I measured where to cut then welded it.

1) Did you upgrade the mid-pipe or only replace the stock M2 axle back?
2) How much did you pay for the part?
3) Any coding/mod involved with M2 dual valve controllers?
4) And going 1 step further is it possible to fit M2 M performance exhaust?

There is only one valve on the M2 exhaust. Same as the stock exhaust.

Good mod , I'm doing the same to my m235.

1) Nope, just a VRSF catless downpipe as my other exhaust mod. I'm thinking of doing a resonator delete though. On the M2 it makes the turbo a lot more audible. I'm guessing the same for the 435i.

3) Like the above poster stated it's just a single valve. It plugs in where the stock one does.
4) Anything is possible , I'm sure the hangers are the same so in theory it should fit just like the regular M2 exhaust!.

So what clamp did you use to connect the axel back to the mid pipe? Aside from modding the rear number to fit the quad tips, what other fabrication has to be done for this to fit the 435i?? I notice your xdrive so not sure if it will be a direct bolt on compared to rwd. Any helpful tips for install would be greatly appreciated.

I just welded the two pipes together. The rear of the car is the same I’m fairly certain wether it’s rwd or awd. No other fabrication required.

I have been wondering the same thing and it looks like the quad tips are closer together than any diffuser available for the 435i. Some cutting would need to be done for it to fit the diffuser or even stock diffuser.

Also do the tips stick out any more? I wanna go ahead with this exhaust but the diffuser is what would stop me

Not sure how much further the tips stick out but im pretty sure the diffuser will need to be modified. Honestly this looks like the perfect setup for me but having to cut my OEM rear bumper doesnt sit well with me!
