WTB: JB4 for N20 w/EWG
Hey,
Just picked up a 320xi for my wife and I'm looking for a JB4 to give her a little extra power. Let me know if anyone is selling one |

Update: If my JB stage 1 N55/EWG is compatible with the N20/EWG then I will just swap it onto her car since I will be going with a BM3 tune.
I sent an email to BMS to confirm since the website says the same box works on both the N20 and N55 engines. Not sure if there are different versions to ensure interchangeability. http://www.burgertuning.com/stage_1_...ce_tuners.html |

I have CP, DP, and FMIC that I have not installed yet either. Only engine mod is the JB stage 1 which can be removed before taking my car in for service. |

Will probably do installation of FBO parts later this month then purchase BM3. Will just take the chance with BMW telling me to get lost if anything goes wrong. |

Modding is a slippery slope... It was an impulsive buy and don’t want to end up with a downpipe, bigger turbo, intercooler, ... Initial plan was to keep my F31 M Performance pretty much stock and buy another car (summer toy) next summer.
Let just say that almost all my previous BMW’s went out of control at some point and became track/race cars! With my last E46 M3 ZCP, I was supposed to keep it pretty much OEM+ and in the end, it was my jig to devellop roll bar kit and other track car parts, interior was completely gutted, CSL airbox with Alpha-N tune, SS exhaust line, JRZ RS coilovers, AP Racing BBK, ... Same with my Z4M Coupe that ended up with a splitter, APR wing, interior delete, PF BBK, ESS SC kit, ... |

I had a scare earlier this morning at Town and Country BMW. I had driver restraint malfunction on my dash and I was hoping it wouldn't be my steering wheel airbag since I put that on aftermarket. First thing they asked me was "did you change the steering wheel?" and when I said yes they said the fix might not be covered under warranty and if I wanted them to keep digging. Luckily it turned out to be a steering column switch according to them and it would be covered under warranty. I was sweating though for a good couple of hours and was mentally preparing myself for needing a new airbag. Was even contact the eBay seller I got the wheel from to see if I could swing a replacement, as well as looking for other airbags to buy. |

In any case the JB4 can function as a boost just for stage 1 and leave it. That's what I did ultimately. |

BMS confirmed that my JB Stage 1 is interchangeable between my N55 and the N20 so I will be doing that instead.
Thanks for all the input guys! |

I got one of the older models that removes the CEL light kicking about. Only thing is it's second hand and one of the grounding wires needs resoldering, which I could prolly do myself as it'd only take a few mintues, but if you're cool with doing that yourself...?
It's just sitting on the shelf in my garage. Figure to ship all in, $300 if you want it. Came off my 320i and gave nice power when I used it. |
