Smoked mirror turn indicator.

Anyone out there bought a set of the smoked turn indicators for the mirrors?

It was one of the things I hated as soon as I saw my F31.

Figured there would be a simple solution which I thought I found, but turned out not to be the case.

Different profile on the ends, but otherwise look to fit.

Anyone encountered this?

I bought a set because i thought the sequential light was really cool.

After putting it on, I noticed the light was a bit dimmer than stock, and the curved part of the light doesn't light up completely solid.

See this video for what i mean:

I realize neither issue is a huge deal, but it bugged me enough to return it, plus I actually like look of the clear turn signal more. But if your main priority is the smoked look, then these will work. Fit and finish were good too, so you should be happy there too.

Or you could simply apply some laminex tinted film or spray tint to your factory lens

I do admit the sequential look is pretty cool

This video was the one that made me get them. The part that isn't fully lit up is normal. That's because of the bend.

I'm not happy with the way they fit in the end so I'll see that every time I look in the mirror.

Hoped someone else was able to mod them to fit well, I don't want to mod them and dislike the results and be unable to return them.

I think they are going back.

Thanks very much.

I want to replace the chrome back there. That's my main issue. I'm Ok with a clear lens of the back was black. Maybe I'll see if I can find someone willing and get them modded.

That looks good.

How did you do the part that terminates on the outside edge of the mirror?

I too was considering the sequential replacements, however after speaking to someone with some already installed I've backed off ..

I hope the owner doesn't mind me posting this: https://streamable.com/2fysp

They look extremely dim compared to OEM, they're a matte finish and have the safety and moulding stamps on the outside.

Personally I'm now going to avoid them, instead I'll probably just unscrew the OEM units and wrap them in a tint, then wait until some reasonable M4 wing mirrors become available.

I'm gonna return them. I don't care they are dim, my turn signals in the headlights are blinding.

I just don't like they way they terminate. Poor fit.

Do you have a pic of how they fit in the end?

Yes, you could say that.
